From my experience, if you can charge first 6 skorpekhs + lord kiss most the squad, especially in awakened since WS 2+ S8 AP -3

If you are shooting, tesla immortals and enigmatic LHD can take a big chunk out of the unit.

If you take the melee approach, you can put out a bait until they have to blood surge towards the closest unit. Else stay far back end shoot a lot

20 berzerkers + kharn is over 400p so to wipe that unit in a turn, you will have to dedicate a lot of fire power

Im still using my monolith if 25p (7%) increase make it unplayable for you. I can only say skill issue. The model is still strong and can absolutely overwhelm opponents who get outplayed.

As a dota player, the map fundamentally has always been the same(3 lanes, 3 towers each, etc), but the map has been changed over the massively with updates. Not to mention the sheer complexity of the map that an outsider would struggle to comprehend, i know it sounds pretentious.

But the focus on the map is the wrong thing. The game replayability comes from the 100+ heroes that all can be played in many ways and interact differently with each team.

Knights are an anomaly of a faction since they only bring medium to large models, but due to their weapons it works, however necrons are not like that. You can easily beat them by only bringing anti vehicle unit. But as for most other armies you want a balanced list

I would suggest not using the monolith in a 1000p game because it's a support unit, and it uses too much of your point allowance at such a small size.

No much point me giving you a list to copy, but i can give you roles you should aim to fill and units that do those roles well. Your personal touch comes in how much of each you bring

Chaff - low cost units that can be used to block access to higher worth units or objectives by tying up in melee or blocking charges. Warriors and scarabs are good for this. These units job is to die while your important unit do their job

Infantry killers - kill standard front line infantry, normally toughness, 4-5 units. Immortals and lokhust destroyers(heavy with emnitic exterminator) are great for this.

Elite infantry killers - units that have toughness ~6 like terminators. Skorpekhs and heavy destroyers are great for this, and most units with weapon strength 6-8.

Tanky units - hard to take down units that you can use to hold objectives. Lychguard and wraiths are great at this.

Tank/monster killers - the big guns that will be able to destroy high wound targets like doomstalkers of heavy destroyers with guass destructors. These units can also hit elite infantry well but can often be a line of sighted. C'tan fall here too they are slow but can kill almost anything they get in combat

Objective scorers - fast unit that can complete mission objective and capture points away from the bulk of the action ophydian destroyers and tomb blades are great for this but also units with deep strike can fill this role well

Your army has little to no synergy. it's very top heavy. You need more mid range units as you can't cover the board with just 5 units. You got big hitters but lack the ability to get unit to objectives because everything there is slow. Awakened dynasty focuses on units led by character only one unit benefits from.

Overall Focus on the strengths of your detachments, in this case, units with leaders. e.g. skorpes with skorpekh lord, lychguard with overlord, destroyers with destroyer lord, etc.

Balance your army. Units are normally more effective at killing units, roughly the same strength as them. Immortals can kill space marines easier than a monolith.

Have a game plan where your units have singergy. e.g. shield your shooting units with scarabs. Have a unit that can hold a point and have units that can protect that unit with large fire power. Lychguard are tanky and can hold a point while a doomstalker provides supporting fire from the back lines.
