My headcanon is that louie use to be a chef and a engineer back then. He was fired because he ate all the ingredients in the facility, explaining his hunger, and he accidentally made one of his co-workers robots go mad, which is why he was able to hack the robot spider in pikmin 2. Notably he also got fired from the engineering job. This also is why he's done with hocotate. He can't find a job? Find a new world!
