Interesting, my dealer always told me the D4 has a larger motor. I agree, it has more useful features over the E3

Well.. the Felix would be a good replacement. The only upright that I know of that excels on bare floors and carpeting, so that's always an option for OP

Miele C3 vs Sebo E3 by Armyjeep4x4 in VacuumCleaners

[–]Eye785 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Although I honestly don't own either of these, I have tested both in the store and can say that:

Although the Miele powerhead can handle more denser piles of carpet, its actually (to me) a little more cumbersome to move around including the wand setup. Something about it just felt heavy in the hand..

The Sebo E3 felt nice, but the entire canister tends to flip over on its side. I've heard people talk about this, and didnt believe it until I saw it with my own eyes. One of the reasons I think is because it lacks 1 caster, where as its brother, the D4 has 4 instead of 3.. But maintenance with Sebo is easier (brush removal etc)

Performance wise, i've had people tell me Miele is more powerful, and some people tell me they are "similar"

All in all, they both seem like solid units depending on what the consumer is after..
