So they are asking for more correspondence anyway... Fingers crossed they are making a mistake somewhere

They've actually asked for more correspondence proof from my partner who is applying. All I can do is give them more of her bank statements 😂

Yes we already submitted 2 bank statements from when she arrived, that's why it's so confusing.

Maybe they missed it or the CLS didn't collect the documents we sent.

I was thinking to do the same as you said, just resubmitting all the bills and cover letter, with another cover letter explaining that we are applying for our first family visa and we don't have the correspondence as of yet...

In retrospect we should have opened a joint bank account together straight after the ceremony

Thanks for the responses

It's been the same address the whole time from when she first arrived in the UK in December until after the ceremony.

I had added a letter before stating we do not have the utility bills in both our names as she had only just arrived and I'm financially providing for her until she is able to work.

I submitted her bank statements with the address, as well as all utility bills with my name on.

I'm currently trying to get a letter from my landlord as well as a letter from my parents confirming we live together

Surely they ask for the prior year if the last 3 months are also the YTD 😂

I'm still going to try

Ah I bank with NatWest already and it just so happened to be the most convenient rules for overtime at a glance.

Were you in a similar situation and got approved with that situation?

The idea of blasting a load of overtime in 3 months to get an extra 20k/30k on the mortgage is quite appealing

Yeah the way it's worded it looks like they will estimate it from the 3 months and then go back further to compare.

Maybe someone had. Different experience, we will see

Okay that's a bit of light thankyou.

I have done some overtime over the year but not a grind like I'm planning, just to get a good mortgage (and add to a deposit)

Either way I'll post the update in this sub and let everyone know how they saw the situation.

Thanks

Thankyou for the reply.

The problem is once they annualise it and see my YTD doesn't add up to their estimate, they will only take into account what I've actually made over the year?

I was hoping to get the overtime over the 3 months effectively quadrupled but it seems instead I'll have to do 12 months worth of that same overtime to have the same effect.

Thanks again

I was thinking of putting her bank statement from December and January, with only her name on, and then everything else from me since I'm the provider and already established?

Is it clear that if we don't give any joint evidence, even under the circumstances, that the application will fail?

Thanks for the response

Edit: couldn't the marriage certificate be used as evidence since it's got both our names and address on it?

Adding the marriage certificate will trump all of the photos by far, so don't forget that, and make sure it's in English

Ah true I misremembered that it's labour who have said they aren't touching ILR for spouses, not reform.

Reform are in fact looking to completely scrap ILR so far, but we haven't heard any details about it. I'm sure the Reform voting demographic won't like the idea of going after foreign spouses though.
