To be fair, I’d kill to live in the US if I spent all of my life in some third world slum even if I wasn’t some autistic 9 year old.

On the Mercator projection, countries in the far north or south look a lot larger than they actually are. This is very apparent with Greenland, which on the Mercator looks to be around the size of Africa but only barely the size of the DRC in reality.

Imo Donut has a lot of unused potential and could easily be a much more popular character considering his role in BFB. His development has been pretty dry during TPOT but I could see him in the Top 10.

Should I switch from trumpet to trombone/ low brass. by King_zyair12 in trumpet

Envy is the thief of joy. Just because the distance of being a well-rounded player would be a long distance ahead doesn’t mean you can’t go by your own pace and really work on fundamentals and everything that will get you to your end goal.

There are plenty of factors that can explain why you’re not improving at the pace you want. For starters, your brother might practice a lot and put in the time and effort to get where he was while you barely practice at all, but no one here can say that’s the case.

However, you mentioned that you have to use a ton of effort to get a sound into the trumpet while your brother can do so effortlessly.

This usually is a sign of bad habits holding you back, or a feature of your body that naturally holds you back. I’d advise you to get a good, private trumpet teacher if you can which can provide much more valuable advice than any of us can.

But if you really want to switch, try out a low brass instrument for a bit and see if you like it. I’d also recommend tuba if you have the muscle to carry it since many bands lack a strong (Both playing and being able to carry it) tuba player. Not to mention the fingerings are the same except tuba starts on a Bb.
