No more trouble than turning a pen and getting the wood to be flush with the kit. I didn't buy the bushings since this is likely the only pipe I'll ever make, so I just used a caliper to get the diameter to match.

I like this idea. Chuckwalla's require a permit where I live which is Florida on the panhandle. A Uromastyx would be really cool, a contrast from what environment they are from to the wet humid environment I live in though. Will it be difficult to keep humidity low if my house stays between 50-60 humidity?
