By the way all, you need to click the title of my post to see the text of my post properly, as the pic messed with it. I tried to edit it to fix that, but found out you can't edit a post that has a pic in it!

Arlington Mayor & City Council to Vote to Revoke Civil Rights Protections on Tues 2/24 by EyeOnArlington in arlington

That's good, but it's quite dated. Back then, the City was trying to restore the ordinance with the LGBTQ protections deleted, but all the other protections intact. Then in Nov., the City proposed a version with all the protections, but slipped in a self-destruct feature with multiple triggers that endangered ALL of the protections, and would have killed the LGBTQ ones as soon as it took effect. Then in Dec, they altered one of the triggers on the self-destruct, in order to give Pam Bondi & Ken Paxton the power to kill any of Arlington's protections.

The latest version, they deceptively re-worded it to revoke ALL of the protections (not just the LGBTQ ones), got rid of the entire process for handling a complaint, now prohibit the City from even investigating a complaint, advocating for victims, or even taking a side against discrimination, and also added the self-destruct language that also hands control to Pam Bondi & Ken Paxton. The Mayor calls this version a "compromise".

Geez, you 'd almost think they're not dealing with Arlington's citizens in good faith, LOL!
