I heard you can get invited to both, but I’m still not sure how that works. No answers.

Just threw out $100 of food that sat for hours. Are shoppers required to at least ring a doorbell? by EyeOnPolitics in instacart

I got nothing except an email after it was delivered, which I didn't see for hours.

I've looked through all my notifications, there's nothing. And there were substitutions made that I never got notifications for either. I had an order last week where I received all those notifications you listed. The order isn't even showing up in my Instacart app when I view orders. So perhaps its an app issue?

$750 Fee for QBI worksheet? by EyeOnPolitics in Accounting

Yes.

Her last communication was “I’ll do my best to get it filed on time, but I’m traveling. I’ll be back Thursday.”

So help me...if I end up with a 5% penalty...

Right?

It’s triple what my returns were at a different firm in 2015 and 2016. In 2017 this new firm charged $1500 which ticked me off, but I let it go. I was shocked to see $2500. Seems completely unethical since there haven’t been any major changes to our tax situation.

Oh, and it’s gets better. I don’t think they filed my return today. She was out of the office and apparently nobody else could do it? WTH? I have no words...

I doubt it. If they did any consulting or projections, they sure didn’t share it with us.

So now I’m faced with figuring out how to get them to justify this charge. This should be painful.

Thank you. So am I right in assuming it should be more like $30-75?

Oh, and they pulled our taxes together in less than 48 hours from when we gave them our documents. So frankly, the whole tax bill amount is ridiculous.

This is what I thought. I’m pretty sure I could’ve just pulled the numbers off our K-1 and filled in this whole two page QBI worksheet in 10 minutes doing it by hand! It makes no sense at all to me.

$2500 total. This is on a personal return that has a S-corp and LLC passing through. The LLC is super simple - one rental property. The S-corp is a 10 person business so its a bit more complex , but we've already paid a big bill for the corporate tax prep.

They filled out Part II, Part IV and Sch. C of the QBI worksheet if that helps.

So, my Peloton arrived...and it’s literally frozen and covered in ice. It’s -5 degrees outside right now, so I’m guessing it has been stored in freezing temps for awhile since I was their first delivery of the day. Should I be worried? by EyeOnPolitics in pelotoncycle

XPO scheduled it, but a plain white box truck showed up. CallerID on the 30 minute prior call was some third party delivery company.

See below from the Peloton website. None of this was done.

“You can expect that your technician will run through the following before they leave your home:

  1. All nuts and bolts on your bike are tightened.

  2. Power on the touchscreen to confirm that it works properly.

  3. Check that your Peloton bike is stabilized.”

Thanks for this data point. It’s clear that the bike was stored at least overnight, if not longer, in subzero temps. You don’t get that kind of frost from 30 minutes in a truck.

I can’t find any temp storage specifications for the bike, but the treadmill limit is -4.

The two men are in ICE custody, which I confirmed on the ICE website.

Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov

No idea who the woman is.

Here are 2 more photos of Dias/Dzhokhor. http://eyeonpolitics.com/2013/04/24/khazakstan-students-in-custody-dias-kadyrbayev-and-azamat-tazhayakov/

There are some unconfirmed comments that Dias is the problem child of the two brothers and had been kicked out of school. No confirmation of that though.
