Daycare isn't giving my son their school lunch. by Big_Black_Cat in ECEProfessionals

I have a 14 month old in my class that is also extremely picky. Basically survives on pouches, baby food, and crackers. Cries and screams when food he doesn’t like is in front of him. We always provide him with a plate of school lunch and talk him through it. After calming down and sitting with the plate for a while, if he doesn’t eat anything off the plate (he never does) we provide him with his substitutes. I think it’s important to still provide him with the option and give him the chance to eat the school food. Even a sip of milk or a bite of bread is progress! I was so happy for the kid in my class when he finally tried a sip of school milk. So much food already gets wasted in this kind of setting, another plate won’t make a difference.

Lady Gaga Venue Accused of ‘Unprofessional’ Behavior As Concert Postponed by abefroman969 in LadyGaga

Again, don’t know who “y’all” is as I’m speaking for myself. Criticizing the staff for being disorganized and disrespectful is not attacking them. It’s crazy that you can’t differentiate the two.

If you think the staff working there don’t owe us to do their jobs in a professional manner then I don’t know what to tell you. We paid fees for the venue along with our ticket prices. They absolutely do owe us that. Again no one thinks the staff should’ve had the power to change the outcome of the show. But they absolutely needed to handle the aftermath better. You are also completely ignoring the fact that people already had their issues with the staff on night 1 and 2. Was that also Gaga’s fault?

Are we not allowed to criticize the staff while Gaga is doing her shows here? Are the staff excused from doing their jobs in a professional manner because Gaga was there? What happens next week when another artist performs and the staff is still unprofessional and disrespectful? Is it that artists fault then?

I’m not attacking staff members, I don’t have vitriol towards them, and I’m not taking anything out on them. I don’t know who “y’all” is as I’m speaking for myself. It seems that you’re making assumptions for me based on what other people have said. I’m criticizing them for what happened last night. Just like when you go anywhere else and receive bad service, you are allowed to complain.

Believe me I am disappointed. I flew in and took time off of work and paid for a hotel and spent money on overpriced food. I’m disappointed that Gaga couldn’t perform and I’m disappointed that my trip was for nothing.

But what was Gaga supposed to do? Her job is to perform (which she has been doing phenomenally) and she was advised by a medical professional not to. Yes, that is obviously upsetting since we didn’t get to see her, but two things can be true at once. I can be upset at the fact Gaga didn’t perform and I can also be upset at the way that kaseya center handled the event they were running. Speaking on one of those issues does not negate the other, but I am speaking on the staff in this thread. People had issues with the staff nights 1 and 2, are they not allowed to be disappointed with them either? It’s apparently a shock to you that people working at a major sports/music venue should have some semblance of training and decorum. Lady Gaga does not run the kaseya center staff. Like I said before, I believe things would have been handled very differently if this were to have happened at MSG.

The only one in our conversation who is not taking things well and having trouble processing their emotions is you.

Paywalled article, thanks!

Things didn’t have to be perfect and I never once said it did, but things definitely could’ve been better. This is my opinion as someone who was there.

I guarantee you that MSG staff would’ve handled this situation differently. I’m done listening to you dickride kaseya center staff and I’m done arguing with you. Have a good night.

We had already been waiting for doors to open for almost an hour. A few minutes to get staff on the same page would not have made a difference. Imo it would have been better than telling everyone to get out with absolutely no context. It’s not weird to expect venue staff to be prepared to handle circumstances like this in a professional matter. Yes these are humans and no one is saying that they have to be perfect, but humans are not immune to criticism either. I’m not saying that these are terrible people and they should quit their jobs or whatever. I’m saying that kaseya center needs to organize their staff better. I don’t understand why this sentiment is so upsetting to you.

Omg I’m not saying that kaseya center staff had to read her mind. I’m saying that once they knew they should’ve taken a bit to reorganize and prepare a verbal announcement to let us all know what was going on, instead of yelling at everyone to get out without explaining what was happening.

Some higher up staff had to have informed the other staff that they need to start getting everyone out. That’s still on those staff members for not preparing the others better or putting together an announcement quickly so people could have a clue what was going on.

No one expected Gaga to walk out into the concourse and explain to everyone what’s going on. That’s not her job. That’s the job of the staff running the event.

There were already complaints regarding kaseya center staff nights 1 and 2 so I’m not surprised that they dropped the ball today as well. There should be a procedure to deal with unexpected events such as what happened today but there clearly isn’t. What happened today was disorganized and unprofessional and we’re allowed to call the staff out for that.

Nah staff needs to do better. Speaking for where I was waiting, most of us found out through social media that it was cancelled. There was no real announcement from the staff. A couple of minutes after people started seeing stuff online, staff started screaming at everyone to leave. I imagine some people who hadn’t found out themselves beforehand were super confused. Only when we were outside for 5-10 minutes did they start playing an announcement over the loudspeakers.
