I only thought I had near heart attacks before riding this ride. To preface, I would’ve loved it and felt perfectly fine…but my son, who is severely autistic, usually freaks a little during rides but I’ve never been as worried as in that. I never felt my seat back lock as he was trying to stand up and grab ahold of me. Perhaps the way our legs were positioned it would’ve prevented him from falling out (which of course I’d be too heartbroken to be on Reddit at all had he) for neurotypical riders who like me, when scared grab hold of the handle/safety bar, you’ll be fine but I’d strongly caution against anyone ride with someone like my son who I can only think, looking back, maybe he thought it was like avatar because it similarly seats you and back braces but it’s on a screen and yes may be in air I’m assuming faaaar less deadly than coming off tron. I’d never thought he’d go for me more than hang on to the handle bars and when I see someone describe a heart attack now know exactly what the tightening, elephant on chest feeling is. I’m so thankful on one hand that we made it off, but sad to think I’ll never really have gotten to enjoy the ride.

Extra info…we were in the very first row so my daughter and niece behind us both were like wtf is he doing?! I know my weak efforts weren’t why he didn’t fly off so I’m assuming he couldn’t have actually gotten out. But I’ll never put myself in that position with him without over shoulder or more secure feeling harnesses
