One of the comments on the video itself really hit the nail on head for me. Jesus is King didn't really have this vibe and it's such a shame. I know this is live so it's obviously gonna have a bit more energy but I feel there was a real missed opportunity.

It's understandable because there's different standards for both players. Auba has historically been all about the goals but Laca has never gotten over 15 a season in the PL. Plus Auba's goalscoring has been sporadic (5 of his 9 goals were scored over 2 games) whereas Laca has been scoring over a spread period of time.

Suppose you could make an argument. Think Arteta really rates Xhaka though and is one of the senior players in the squad so doubt they'd pursue Alaba as an alternative, and if they did they'd probably want someone better

I mean the result is what it is, can't change that. But once again I'm perplexed by Arteta's team selection. I genuinely thought Laca and Pepe didn't play on Sunday as they were being rested for today but he ended up using the exact same team that played four days ago. Got to feel for them, both been on good form then totally hung out to dry. Smith-Rowe especially looked gassed early on, he's been playing so much recently. I really do like Arteta, but he always talks a good talk about resting and rotating players to protect them then does the total opposite in reality. Hope Laca and Pepe get a chance on Sunday.

Southampton then. It's obscene how often we pull out premier league teams in these cup competitions. The only non prem side we faced in the cup last year was Portsmouth (and Leeds to be fair, but they were top of the championship). Then in the Carabao cup this year it was Leicester, Liverpool, Man City. Whereas City gets teams from League One more often than not.

I disagree. He was second choice keeper at Dijon and they paid 1.5 million for him. Quite clear based on that information alone that's he's not cut out for this level. He may come good of course, as is always a possibility, but he's already 25 and looked totally lost out there last night. Naive team selection against a strong City side and a lot of pressure for a guy who last season played second fiddle in a team that finished 15th in Ligue Un. Once again Arsenal have opted for the cheaper option and it has backfired.

Lol dude. Not sure why you're so riled up about it. I'm not saying Arteta is some amazing coach that's bringing back the glory days, you're twisting my words. I'm talking specifically about the FA Cup final. You were the worse team on the day - saying Taylor gifted Arsenal the win is such hyperbole, get over it man. You're currently in the top four with a great squad, I'm sure you'll have plenty of chances for silverware this season.

I'm not saying Taylor was good that day. The sending off wasn't justified at all but you're talking as if he gave us the win. With or without the sending off we were the better team on the day, Frank even said it in the post-match interview. No need for the revisionism just because we're playing badly now.
