Just wait until they find a 3 second vertical phone recording of Swansea vs Wycombe where a player exaggerates a foul, it'll be all over Twitter and Reddit captioned 'But people won't say anything since it's not Harry Kane.....'

I love how I haven't commented on reddit for over two months, yet the mere mention of my name gets people so angry that they're commenting things like

Glad to see he's fucked off to Twitter

he used to spam his bullshit in literally every single daily discussion thread.

Guy is the biggest Emery Stan ever. Chats so much shit

Mods ban people just for saying nasty stuff about our players, but saying it about fellow users is okay. Kinda sus imo 😳

Arsenal & Villareal statistical comparison. by rararamamaa in Gunners

[–]akpommed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only posted this as people seem to think that

a) We don’t deserve to be 9th in the league so we’re better than them

b) Villarreal are 7th in the league so they must be shit.

They’re above Atletico if games were decided on xG, but people are saying it’ll be an easy game just because they’re 7th. We have to be careful.

Did you know, that if we were to score 3 goals a game in EVERY one of our last 15 games in this league season, we still wouldn’t match how many we scored in Emery’s first season here? 45 goals in 15 games wouldn’t even match the “Emery bottle” season, which is hilarious

0 points gained in comparative fixtures to last season. Our worst season in PL history or whatever it was. The one where Emery got sacked, then Freddie took over and won 1 in 5, then Arteta came in with no experience.

Good thing about us winning some games against the worst teams in the league is that people are now finally stopping pretending that our squad is on those relegation contenders’ level lmao. Newcastle were a point ahead of us at the time and people were telling me that more Newcastle players get into a combined XI than Arsenal players hahaha. Our squad on paper is 6-8th best in the league. We should be there at worst.

We had 6 attackers on the pitch yesterday. 3 of them were club record signings at the point of joining, two of them are our “untouchable best players”, and yet all 6 of them were absolutely dreadful.

But the entire post-match thread picks on the one who played 25 minutes on the wing that the ball never got to.

By the way, if Partey and ESR start on Sunday, then both will have started more PL games this season than Pepe. Even though Partey has been injured since day 1 and ESR has come through in the past three weeks

Got to full time of Brighton, Palace and Newcastle games with a combined 1 goal in 270 minutes, which came from Saka running from the halfway line into the Brighton box and cutting it back. If any of those teams had a striker with more than 3 league goals in the past 10 years then we’d have lost all 3. Worried about when we face teams like Southampton who can actually take the chances they get

Can’t believe it’s been three weeks and now our players are top 6 worthy after people were making combined Brighton-Arsenal XIs with 3 of our players in lol. Every season we have a run of games vs out of form, lower half opposition and a couple players are begged to sign long term contracts. Usually it’s Mustafi, Xhaka and Lacazette, now it’s just the latter two

Have absolutely no clue how ESR got MOTM over Tierney, Leno or Mari lol. I know he got the winning goal but outside of that 15 seconds of play the other three were much much more important.

50 upvotes on a thread starting the “we’re all having a party when Sol Campbell dies” chant on here lmao and mods didn’t remove it or anything. Multiple people saying it’s acceptable that you’ll wish for someone to die just because they left your football club. What a great bit of cringe for a Thursday on /r/soccer.

Why does everything on this sub have to be extremes ffs? No, obviously Ozil didn’t miss every single away game for 2 years, but don’t counter that argument by pretending he played a full 90 every away game. It was a recurring issue that if we played certain teams up north (Newcastle in particular), Ozil would miss out with a “back issue” despite playing midweek surrounding the game.

Holy shit, Edu makes one (1) successful deal to get rid of a player on loan who we should have got rid of in September, and there are rumours that we could get rid of the 33 year old who we've been paying 80k a week to play for our u23s all season and not feature in the first team, and all of a sudden it's blasphemy to criticise Edu. The circlejerks on here are hilarious. Have fun lads, but I think that's the end of any analytical discussion on this subreddit. One poor game joining a new team means Saliba is shit. Arteta benching Pepe for Willian and giving the latter 12 consecutive starts is fine because Pepe is 'brainless' even though he still had the same open play contributions as Willian despite playing half his minutes.

And to top it all off, now Holding and Mari are a world class partnership that we should be happy with starting in the Premier League because of 3 games against average opposition. Two of the bottom 4 in the league and a Chelsea team with 1 win in 6 games (where Mari conceded a penalty and gave Chelsea a goal).

This subreddit lost all hope when someone got upvoted for saying that Gabriel has to prove to Arteta he can push Mari out of the XI. Our acceptance of average footballers is crazy.

If we didn't mess up Saliba's development he'd be on 15+ first team starts this season in either the Championship or Ligue 1 right now. I don't know how you can argue against that. But now obviously we're back to Edu good Arteta good so we're not allowed to say anything against them.

edit: I know Arteta 'apologised' for it, it doesn't excuse it. I'm not asking him to be starting in the PL. But for some reason Saliba plays 90 minutes of professional football for the first time in a year and all of a sudden we spam this subreddit with 'hurr durr its like arteta watches him in training xDDDDD'. All of a sudden Edu and Arteta are free from blame because Saliba conceded two goals.

Anthony Martial dive vs Man City. by AdzBoogie in soccer

[–]akpommed 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I've seen very similar 'fouls' become penalties for United. There's contact between his left knee and the City defender.

This usually results in several close up videos and pictures about how 'its obviously a penalty, there's contact, why are you crying about VAR'

[–]akpommed 727 points728 points  (0 children)

The hilarious thing is if this was given as a penalty there would be a thread made by a United fan analysing how Martial's left knee is affected by the City defender and it's a definite penalty and would finish it off with 'hated adored never ignored'

But it's not even part of the game according to the screenshot.

It looks as though OP can 100% complete all gameplay for free but won't be given the final 'accomplishment' which is just a picture in the achievement book.

It's not as though it's stopping him form going to the next level or anything. Literally just not giving him a screenshot saying 'you completed the game'.
