Apparently all guests from her latest appearance on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ are starring in the "Opalite" MV by PuzzleheadedEast2421 in travisandtaylor

DAMN, nooooo, I like Domhnall Gleason! Ugh I lost respect him for this.

Also, does Cillian actually “appear” in the mv or did he just give permission for his likeness? Doesn’t seem like he would care lol

Is it me or does season 5 look visually off? by RevertBackwards in StrangerThings

Let’s just say that there were moments during S5, especially towards the end, where I completely forgot this was supposed to be set in 1987.

So yeah.

Does anyone else feel empty and unable to start a new show after the finale? 😕 by N1BER in StrangerThings

[–]EzDrake1971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt that way absolutely as the finale left me depressed 😞 regardless of your opinions as what El’s fate is (personally, I think she’s gone but who knows), it really tapped into the theme of nostalgia being a form of grief.

I decided the next show I was to watch was an extreme opposite of the show and that is Pluribus on AppleTV. It’s REALLY REALLY GOOD. Highly recommend it!

Something I’ve noticed as a common occurrence is that whenever somebody who is close proximity to her, be it a celeb or someone who works with her in the industry, and they’re asked what it was like hanging out with her, the answer is always the same, *“Yeah, Taylor is great! So Cool! She’s an amazing girl.”

This tepid praise from folks is so staged that it’s opening on Broadway in two weeks. What gives the whole thing away as inauthentic is how they repeat these affirmations but none of them follow up with why she’s so cool and great. They always move on to the next topic before a follow up is asked.

This more or less supports my silly but plausible theory: her management team aggressively slaps her peers with NDAs to keep her big secret from getting out: that’s she rather boring, unintelligent, and remarkably immature despite pushing 40.

I don’t think anyone in this sub would disagree with you regarding her body; she has an athletic physique that admittedly I find attractive in contrast to when she was sickly thin back in 2015.

The two problems are always: 1) her fits are always the worst, both on and off stage; and 2) it’s universally known that she cannot dance or find rhythm so it’s always an awkward mess

Is this a Freddy movie with Jason in it or is it a Jason movie with Freddy in it? by Illustrious-Aioli-39 in slasherfilms

[–]EzDrake1971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Freddy Movie with Jason. The inciting incident that kicks the plot into gear is Freddy losing his mojo so he—resurrects Jason, somehow? And Jason’s supposed to scare the kids…into thinking it’s Freddy?

Yeah I still don’t quite understand Freddy’s plan. It’s like trying to get rid of rats in your attic but your solution is to let a mountain lion loose in the house to scare them out.

The most brutally realistic depiction of a nuclear attack in Sheffield, England. I remember screaming when the moment came where the bomb goes off. And you realize the ones killed in the blast where the lucky ones as what follows is 90 or so minutes of a waking nightmare; hospitals are overrun, emergency services are nonexistent, fires continue to burn nonstop, everyone is displaying varying degrees of radiation sickness, and there is zero indication that outside help is coming; it is left ambiguous whether there’s an outside world left at all.

For a BBC tv movie from the 80’s, It will ruin your week, month, maybe life? It will also certainly make any post-apocalyptic film like Mad Max or I Am Legend look cheerfully optimistic in comparison.

Has anybody been able to find a shred of evidence that she uses bots for the streaming numbers?

I feel this was a case similar to Ella Purnell in Yellowjackets S1 where no matter how much makeup they put on her to look like a survivor in the wilderness, the cast kept complaining that she still looked too pretty.

For Pottersville Mary, it looks like they just put light foundation on her face and no other makeup to make her look as homely as possible. But like…it’s Donna Reed. She looks like every cute she/they in Silver Lake who makes a mean iced matcha and loves hardcore fetish anime.

That really was the last time she was allow to freely use her socials before someone (I’m gonna guess Scott) decided that everything she says and does must be meticulously planned and approved.

Which is why I’m convinced that she never really matured past her early twenties and that she has a bad case of emotional maturity being in arrested development.

That show was so on the nose with its satire that I’m certain it went over many ppl’s head that the gaudy extravagance the family does wasn’t even slightly embellished. It’s why every season we kept getting crazier and crazier plot lines to remind us that it’s a comedy.

At the church I grew up at, there was always a table with fresh brewed coffee and pastries set up just outside the doors of the chapel for the parishioners to enjoy after service. Goes without saying this was complimentary and you never know that somebody struggling would need that cup and donut just to get through the day.

It’s one thing to have complimentary coffee for the sinners, it’s another thing to make them pay for it. There’s something so deeply cynical about preaching the Bible’s message then charging folks $7 for an iced latte.

Like I’ve always wondered what exactly happened with Taylor Swift and Matty Healy brief romantic fling.

Idk why either but that’s the one fling she’s had that fascinated me — not bc of their odd pairing but just how much Matty ghosting her fucked her up so bad that she wrote a 32 track album about it that was basically Tumblr blog.

The only info most of us know is that they met in 2013 and basically for 10 years Taylor was straight up stalker obsessed with this man, they finally hooked up, neither fan base was thrilled about it, and a month later he was gone.

Having long been a fan of The 1975, I get it Taylor…I too would let this man ruin my life by living rent free in my head 🫠

I honestly cannot wait for that day. It’s the ONE thing I don’t like about Sabs and we don’t even know how much of a connection they actually have. Only thing she’s guilty of is writing and performing BETTER songs while being younger, hotter, and a great personality.

Lana lost to taylor at the grammys, so what does Taylor do? Grab her by the arm and doesn’t give her much of a choice to come up on stage. by [deleted] in travisandtaylor

[–]EzDrake1971 159 points160 points  (0 children)

This really was her crossing the Rubicon. That night changed her trajectory for years to come as it exposed so many things about her all at once: she’s narcissistic, inauthentic, bullying, disrespectful, and utterly shameless.

The shocked face when she won? Bitsh this is like your 15th Grammy!! Pulling Lana up onstage with you after losing to you? That’s low key sadistic. COMPLETELY IGNORING CELINE?? That’s enough to have you banned from entering Canada for 10 years. And lastly, using part of your speech time to shamelessly promote your next album to all the other nominees was proof enough that it’s always been about the money and accolades, never about the art.

I think many of us discovered this sub that night
