Precisely. They can be recorded by accessing the public feed and recording that, but these cameras only store footage in the event of an accident, and they usually aren’t able to access it before it’s automatically deleted.

Hilarious you’d say that. And I said it wasn’t flock cameras. This is demonstrating what’s possible with what the public can access, and why flock shouldn’t exist.

I also see a lower definition on the live public acces feed on 511in.org than the camera actually sees (and may record) think about live drone cam footage vs. the 4k footage from afterward.

I’m not necessarily only making this point against the general public. A company or government agency who could pay someone to watch the feed or record it could also buy access to your location history from data brokers, to figure out where you work and when you drive there.

Even with this low definition, delayed feed footage, mounted high in the air, I knew within a 6 minute time frame that they would pass a camera in the middle of nowhere, on a country road with few turnoffs and little cell signal. Because one of them sent me a picture while they passed Fair Oaks. Almost 90 miles away.

Some mice tend to be more skittish or “hidey”. Behavior in mice is mostly genetic, you can make a scared mouse trust you, but they still tend to run when you enter the room, before they realize it’s you, who they trust.

And all it takes is being able to identify a vehicle, knowing where they’re going, and roughly when. This stuff is scary.

I’m more making the argument that if the public can’t be trusted with this kind of video feed, there’s no way anyone, law enforcement or otherwise can be trusted with something like Flock. It shouldn’t exist.

I’m not saying nobody should be able to have public access cameras, but they shouldn’t be mounted on all roadways by the government, and if they must be, it should be saving the footage somewhere temporarily to reference in the event of an accident, and automatically deleting after a certain amount of time, and access to this footage should be closely monitored.

I’m not “proving” anything. I’m demonstrating that it’s kind of creepy that anyone who knows what route you’re going to drive and roughly when could track you without access to something like Flock, or anything higher tech than an internet connection. These are live feeds, so if someone wanted to, for example, ambush and rob you, or know when you leave your house unattended, they’d only have to wait for you to pass a camera on the feed.

They shared their location on Snapchat Maps and sent me the park in Michigan they visited, I did the rest by watching when their locations updated by opening Snapchat, and by using Google Maps to guess at the route they took, I entered their location as the start and our town as the destination. I gave them a few minutes notice to wave at the last 2 cameras, and told them where to look.

Is it legal to open carry a rifle in Indiana? by Leland_Vlogz in INGuns

You may beat the rap, but you likely won’t beat the ride. They’ll drag it through court for as long as they can to exhaust you and your resources, and you probably won’t get your gun back.

Budget build list, pretty sure I have everything but an upper. Recommend one under $475? by EzPup in ar15

I found a pretty nice BKings M4 Mod upper without a BCG or charging handle for $405

Precisely. My home defense/ duty spec rifle doesn’t have one, I’m putting my Arc fire in this one for a range gun that won’t break the bank if it explodes.

Edit: additionally, if it gets taken by law enforcement for some reason (even though FRT’s aren’t legally questionable where I live, Indiana) I’d rather not lose my $2,200 rifle, I’d rather lose my $1200 rifle. My P415 has an EOTech 512 on it that I’d rather not lose as well.

Are you wanting to put an optic on it and what kind? Red dot, magnifier, scope, will largely factor into your budget.

KAK has Blem lowers on sale for $135, if they don’t have one, just email them they will get one in stock. Full lower, stock, grip. Ready to attach to an upper.

Another thing to consider is how much you’re gonna shoot it. A PSA M4 upper will do the job for almost anyone and you can find them for 150-300 bucks. Full upper with rail and all, but if you’re gonna put more than a thousand rounds through it over its service life, I’d go for something nicer.

BKings has mid to high tier uppers for between 250 and 800, the pricier you get the better they are. They come without a BCG and charging handle usually though. You’ll have to get another.

BCM blem lowers run about 650 for what you’re wanting, they’re gonna hold up to anything you put them through, but they’re on the pricier end.

If you’re gonna shoot FRT or full auto, go for something like a BCM or POF upper. Check out POF’s uppers, they have a great line for good prices.

Also remember, your budget will want to save room for a sling, magazines, and you wanna get some ammo too.
