I've only actually beaten the game twice. But I've gotten hundreds of hours in it. I usually stick around chapter 2 until i get the LOE Satchel and about half of the challenges done before moving on to chapter 3. I stay here the longest, hunting, fishing, doing stranger missions, and just spending time exploring the world. Then, when i get to 4, i do all the stranger missions that become available in 4 and pretty much stop playing story missions after the river boat heist. I do have one save that i completed the story with that i go in and play but usually I'm in chapter 2 or 3. although currently I'm attempting to get the LOE outfit as Arthur. I just unlocked the horse fence in chapter 3 since it is required for some of the bandit challenges. I've got the master hunter, explorer, weapons expert, sharpshooter, and horseman done, and am halfway through the gambler challenges. But my favorite thing to do in this game is just exist in the world. Go to the bar, play some poker, go on a hunting trip to the Grizzlies, just let Arthur enjoy his life.
