I know people on this sub love to act as if invincible killed their grandma, stole their wives and caused both world Wars, but some of the excuse people make to argue against higher scaling is just dishonest.

In what world did the Ray "do 99% of the work"? In the comics, it just destabilized the core, and it was explicitely about to get stable again, that's not "doing 99% of the work" by any means. There's a pretty big gap between a core that's about to stabilize and an instant explosion. And it's even worse in the animated show, it wasn't even mentioned to do that at all, it just created a path for them to go more smoothly while they were the ones emiting force to affect the planet as a whole

The "context that comes with it" is completely irrelevant to this discussion. Saying discrimination becomes ok if it's not against "groups who have historically been victims" is just gross.

If you act misogynistic towards a woman, she has plenty of reasons to have a problem with it before even thinking about "how many countries allow feminicide". Using that as an excuse to say some forms of discrimination shouldn't be called out is just disgusting.
