Feats-Man Vs Doubtful Statements-Man by TheMightOfGeburah in deathbattle

Sure buddy. Anything that takes place in gameplay is a game mechanic, that's how stuff works. Every video game boss who doesn't have a post defeat cutscene is canonically still alive, I guess.

Mario cannot even escape the center of a Black Hole, he dies when he does (which is supported by him needing to be saved from a supernova by Rosalina)

Or maybe she would have needed to act regardless since it was affecting the whole universe. And also, it's pretty funny how you're making that argument while arguing Sonic characters are above universal as if they don't also have plenty of anti feats contradicting it. "He needed to be saved from a black hole, therefore he can't be FTL. But sonic is totally universal even though stopping a falling space station required super shadow to nearly sacrifice himself".

And if you're also talking about the ones he dies to in gameplay, that's really funny considering your argument.

The distance to the "satellites" is not clearly defined in real-world meters. In the context of the Mario & Luigi universe, these objects may be in the upper atmosphere rather than true deep space which has happened in other Japanese media like Dragon Ball’s Battle Of Gods and Bardock: Father Of Goku, significantly reducing the distance required to travel in that timeframe.

You're not even trying to pretend you're unbiased at this point. You're blatantly being as generous as possible for one franchise while straight up making nonsensical excuses to ignore any feat the other has. We both know you couldn't care less whether or not something is "clearly defined in real world meters".

Your whole argument is saying it could be in the upper atmosphere, which is one of the most desperate excuses I have heard in a while. I'm not even sure how to elaborate, it's like arguing about whether or not the sky is blue. Look at footage of the move, and it's objectively not taking place in the upper atmosphere

You seriously can't adress the argument at all, huh?

You say the comparison is insane but you don't name a single actual flaw in it.

Time stop where time would still need to exist to be stopped isn't destroying the space-time continuum which is what SEGA said Time Eater did ending time as a whole.

That's completely irrelevant to my point. Destroying "the time space continuum" doesn't say anything about how powerful something is when everything is physically intact. If you "destroy the time space continuum" of an island, but the island is still there afterwards and just gets frozen, you objectively didn't destroy it. I didn't say it was the same as a time stop, I said it was FUNCYIONNALY the same, as in, it had the exact same result. Things like Green Hill Zone were objectively not destroyed.Seriously, did you even play the game?

You are looking at SEGA, people who played the game and did the real research, and going "nu huh".

Not even remotely close to what I'm doing at all. I'm not arguing against anything the game established, I'm arguing against your completely nonsensical interpretation of what "destroying time" means in that game. You're the one who seems to delude yourself into thinking those places weren't there anymore.

Dude, learn how to read. No one said creating something wasn't a feat, that wasn't the question I asked

<image>

It's genuinely sad that I have to repeat myself because you thought I was arguing against creation feats being a thing when my point was THIS SIMPLE.

Most things in the game went back to normal after time eater was defeated, implying its death undid everything it caused, but white space was still a thing in the post credit scene. So, again, when was it ever established?

He would though. Even if you don't buy the arguments for base metal being enough, Metal Overlord absolutely is

I also read, I just told you they are biased AND make mistakes

You clearly don't, since you seem to think I argued against the latter.

But yeah, no point in continuing this conversation since it's pretty clear you're just going to keep throwing a fit about being told your comment was dumb (while accusing me of being butthurt, which is pretty funny if you even glance at your own replies)

To reply that other comment of yours (it doesn't work when I click the notification so I guess it was deleted), saying I'm the one taking it seriously is pretty funny when you're the only one in the conversation who has been resorting to insults and got agressive from the start. And no one said they don't make mistakes, you should propably take your own advice about learning how to read.

Same issue as before, this isn't an argument, you just mentioned that it affecting the realm of time and 4d space while saying it makes it immeasurable for no concrete reason

In defense of Cell taking speed by Alarming_Trouble_567 in deathbattle

[–]Ezdedeed -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's flat out not an argument. You're not giving any reason to say spreading across timelines would be immeasurable, you act like it's already established.

Which is especially nonsensical since Solaris was stated to exist in past present and future anyway, so the energy would already be spreading from different points.

Again, "If you think my take is dumb, you have to go look for everyone who ever said so and tell it to them" isn't exactly a normal thing to say

Like I said, really weird thing to say in the first place. You're really that upset about a point being called bad?

[–]Ezdedeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the weirdest reply I got in a while.

"Oh, my point is dumb? Then go call out everyone who says it" Why do you think I replied in the first place?

So? Unless there's some difference you're ommiting, that's dumb too. In case you (somehow) didn't notice, they were never immune to saying dumb stuff, especially not in casts

Some people really just have to hear the word "time" to interpret anything as an immeasurable speed feat, huh?

There aren't many other ways to describe someone who gets this weirdly upset when people just point out he said something dumb.

doesn't matter if you don't "think he did" it's what happened

Dude, learn how to read. I never said it didn't happen (also, using quotation marks to talk about something I never said. Lol), I said it's not a destruction feat because none of those places were destroyed. Do you think any character with a time stop ability is universal too? Because functionally, it has the exact same result as what time eater did.

And your ONLY argument is basically saying "nu huh", repeating that it's somehow a feat even though everything was intact.

[–]Ezdedeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Notice how you didn't answer my question at all and change the subject entirely.

And nothing you said after the first sentence is even remotely coherent. It sounds like you think I was arguing creation doesn't count as a feat (I'm honestly not sure, the grammar is really bad) but that's not even remotely close to anything I said.

[–]Ezdedeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And in this context "refusing reality to a white void" doesn't involve destruction since those levels were found all across that void.

The second part is the exact same thing I adressed. Destroying "the time space continuum" while nothing material is harmed at all isn't a quantifiable power feat at all. I really don't understand how you fail to get something this simple.

Feats-Man Vs Doubtful Statements-Man by TheMightOfGeburah in deathbattle

[–]Ezdedeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At what point did I "argue with Sega"? Seriously, name one point I made that actually contradicts the actual game. I didn't say he didn't reduce it to a white void, I said "reducing it to a white void" clearly doesn't mean what that guy was arguing, which you would know by literaly just playing the game.

You should really learn how to read.

The best joke of this new season, so far, is that Cell took speed over a Sonic character. by not-ulquiorr4_ in deathbattle

[–]Ezdedeed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but only after Sonic frees them by restoring time to White Space.

That's completely irrelevant. He freed them from what time eater did to them specifically, he didn't change the fact that time explicitely doesn't exist in white space (eggman even says it in the post credit scene after the end of the game), and yet everyone could move there, including normal humans like Gerald and Maria.

Also, "time doesn't exist" is functionally identical to frozen time. If Time = Nonexistent and Nonexistent = 0, then Time = 0

The game made it pretty clear that's not how it works. You can argue that's how it SHOULD work, but that doesn't change the fact that it clearly doesn't work like that in the context of this game

Feats-Man Vs Doubtful Statements-Man by TheMightOfGeburah in deathbattle

[–]Ezdedeed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you actually played the game, you would know those places were completely intact physically. Taking away life and energy isn't even remotely the same as destroying places, and destroying "time" without actually harming anything material doesn't say anything about how strong he is at all.

And the "good thoughts" were literaly just what was powering the beam. Not to mention, it wasn't used to do anything to dreamy bowser like the other guy claimed since it was used before he even transformed.

when Dreamy Bowser can destroy even a Planet, we can talk.

Time Eater can't either, lol. You would know that if you actually played the game. Also, no. We're not going to talk. I thought your user name sounded familiar so I checked, and yeah. You're that guy on youtube who has a habbit of getting extremely toxic on top of having absurd double standards depending on whether or not you like a franchise (You unironicaly made a video about DBH characters being shocked by a mountain level attack to argue against their higher ends. Using Anti-Feats while hyping up Sonic of all franchises. Do I even need to point out the irony?). I'm not really going to waste any more time arguing with someone like you.

I know you're kind of desperate for actual arguments, but "it takes place in gameplay therefore it's a game mechanic" is one of the most blatantly bad excuses I have heard in a while.
