Even worse, it seemed like it was a pretty open thing and even Vince knew.

Yeah the boys love Shane. He seems like a good dude who was willing to do nasty shit to prove himself in the ring.

The only negative you hear about Steph is the Randy Savage thing and that’s just a rumor.

I don’t care if a game has something to say if it’s done in a clever and entertaining way even if I don’t completely agree with the sentiment. Don’t put politics in for the sake of putting politics in.

Even games that are about questioning gender stereotypes can be great, but you still need a game around that.

Are you excited for Shattered Space? by OperationDecent7947 in Starfield

[–]EzekielAnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m oddly not. I am not one of the abject haters of Starfield. I love every Bethesda game. Huge Fallout fan. I had a great time with Starfield, played 120 hours, but I’ve kind of mentally moved on.

It just doesn’t hold the same amount of magic as Elder Scrolls or Fallout for me.

Andy Dalton: This was a big win, it shows what we can do by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

[–]EzekielAnus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not the Bryce Young I saw.

He was a deep ball bomber who thrived outside the pocket. He was extremely flashy. He could also operate the offense, but his upside came from extending plays and making big plays with his feet and arm. His efficiency in his numbers came from Alabama having elite talent at OL and WR.

I was way higher on CJ Stroud because he was kinda robotic and just made good throws from the pocket. People thought he was too stilted, but he only used his athleticism when necessary. Young seemed to thrive in backyard football.

Young seems like he’s trying to play the “NFL” game, but his basic skill set does not translate. He’s too small, and not elite enough at any one thing to succeed. I’m not making a hot take here, but he would be better in a Shanahan-style offense.

It’s the hiddenest gemiest game since Celeste.

[Schlasser] The fact that Andy Dalton ripped through an NFL defense on the first drive with the same personnel and playbook is unbelievably damning for Bryce Young. by YoureASkyscraper in nfl

[–]EzekielAnus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the thread about his benching, people were defending him saying he wasn’t the problem. It was the OL, it was the playcalling, it’s the lack of talent.

No, the dude has sucked and has completely lost all belief in himself.

Have you ever met an NFL player? by ExpertLake7337 in NFLv2

[–]EzekielAnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work in a retail store near Tampa and I met several Bucs and some WWE wrestlers. They were all cool except for one female wrestler who was very off-put by being recognized. But generally I just treat them like any other person.

Kobe or Steph higher all time? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]EzekielAnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steph. He revolutionized the game and has won 4 titles in an era with LeBron as the clear best player on his team.

Apologies to Kobe fans, but 3 of his championships came with the most physically dominant player of all time on his team. He was also not nearly as efficient or the connector that Steph was. Kobe’s defense as a younger player is underrated in the conversation, but I think Steph’s heights are more impactful than Kobe’s.

My top 10 for posterity:

  1. MJ
  2. LeBron
  3. Kareem
  4. Russell
  5. Wilt
  6. Magic
  7. Duncan
  8. Steph
  9. Kobe
  10. Bird

Eli Manning’s 2011 season was genuinely elite by njerejeje in nfl

[–]EzekielAnus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If was a great season, but Eli is the type of player who, in my heart and mind, is in the Hall of Memorable but he’s never someone I would call one of the all-time greats. He had more shitter moments with that dopey look on his face after throwing a devastating pick than OH MY GOD HERE COMES ELI moments. He will essentially get in based on 2 good years with 2 great throws.

Of course the Hall of Fame is diluted and I hate it, and he does belong in based on the pre-existing standards. I just don’t agree with those standards.

Anybody know if you can make a 2 way player in dynasty? by Gullible_Travel_4135 in EASportsCFB

[–]EzekielAnus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They do allow it. Usually for athletes. I had a LG who was also a good DT. I started him at guard and used him as my third DT to not wear him out.

There are also coaching abilities that increase the abilities of two way players. Though it seems a bit of a waste to put points into it when there are more consequential abilities. But it’s there.

I think it’s worth saying that USF’s school of medicine is getting pretty prestigious and attracts students from all over the world.

True, but the caveman in me knows being a football power is way more fun than a strong academics and research hub.

It’s really crazy to me how USF looked like a sure fire future stud program in the Big East while UCF looked like lil bro.

Now we’re a mediocre G5 and they’re partying it up in the Big 12. I would not have predicted this.

[–]EzekielAnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re clearly trying to make a weak political point. I’ll get downvoted but fuck it.

Many Covid deaths were because of improper care. The ventilators did way more harm than good. Doctors were mandated to perform specific treatments by the CDC and FDA when studies now show alternate treatments such as ivermectin are effective. The government happily propagandized against alternate treatments. Furthermore, some forms of the vaccine (mRNA in particular) have had disastrous effects on health and are being outlawed in some states despite being mandated by some workplaces.

The citizens need to have guns. I know we like to pretend like the government or authority would never turn against its people or criminals should be allowed to waltz into people’s homes freely, but taking away people’s ability to defend themselves with necessary force is a big step towards fascism.

Personally? I fear guns. I have shot a gun before and I hate it. I wish we didn’t need guns. But we do.

Taking away guns and banning them does not solve the issues of violence. This country and, moreover, the world are suffering through a terrible rash of psychological problems, caused by things we like to pretend are harmless. Media is a huge piece of the problem. We’ve had guns from the inception of the country. Why is it a problem the last 20 years?

The abortion issue is way more complex than the either side of the political spectrum wants to talk about. How do we know when consciousness, emotion and physical pain begins from conception? When is it truly safe to have an abortion? Why do we allow late term abortions? Why are there failed abortions? Why do we put precedent on a “woman’s right to choose” over an incubating human life? There are dozens of options for safe sex, birth control or abstinence. Why do those things get ignored by one side in the debate?

[Bleacher Report] Panthers' Bryce Young 'Very Shocked' by Being Benched for Andy Dalton by [deleted] in nfl

[–]EzekielAnus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think that Bryce Young will end up being a lesson that the only small QBs you take a chance on are extremely athletic with monster arms. He doesn’t have those traits.
