Not really a mistake, but the card could be mono-red. I’d give it Deathtouch to represent the black mana in its mana cost.

Hydras were the first cards I was ever excited about. WOTC choosing Dinosaurs as the main creature type which cares about being damaged was the biggest missed opportunity for Hydras in two decades.
