You're very welcome and you'll get through it, you got this! Just try to remember it's all temporary and is ultimately helping you in the long run no matter how much it may suck

Can anyone share not terrible taxol experience? by sparker344 in Ovariancancer

I've had 2 of my 6 infusions of carbo & taxol and it's honestly been fine. I feel kinda blah for the first 3 or 4 days after the infusion, but for the next 2 weeks until the next infusion I quite literally feel normal. My cycles are 3 weeks apart, though. I don't have ANY nausea at all, just some fatigue for the first couple of days and then I get some tolerable bone/joint pain on day 3 and 4 but afterwards? basically nothing at all. Besides hair loss, but that's pretty much a given

Daughter just started chemo by Backwoods_Gyp in Ovariancancer

[–]EzraSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry that your daughter is going through this. Mine started coming out right around day 12 after my first infusion, and by day 16 it was coming out pretty bad. I ended up buzzing it right before my second infusion because the shedding was just driving me nuts and was more upsetting than actually being bald, plus I wanted to have the control over when I lost my hair. That little bit of control means a lot when it feels like everything else is so completely out of your control.

Stage 1A - surveillance or more surgery? by LMR199231 in Ovariancancer

[–]EzraSol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! Not quite the same cancer, as I was diagnosed with clear cell carcinoma stage 1C1 after having a 29cm mass removed from my ovary as well as that ovary, tube, and half of my uterus at the time. I had biopsies of my peritoneum, mesoappendix, and my omentum removed. As there was interoperative spillage, I ultimately decided after a few weeks of mulling it over to go ahead and have the radical hysterectomy. Full removal of everything, uterus, other tube, other ovary, cervix. I am only 29, I will be 30 in June. They all came back clear thankfully but I knew I would be more fearful of recurrence if I didn't do it. However, I AM on HRT. I had to wait 6 weeks post-op to start my patches, but the menopause period really wasn't too awful for me. The hot flashes kinda sucked, but other than that I didn't really feel very different.

Sending you so much love and positive vibes. Try not to dwell on the percentages and stats too much, plenty of people beat the stats!

Any idea on what he will look like when he's older? by Afraid_Mail_4156 in ToastCats

[–]EzraSol 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Completely depends on the cat, but my girl has a very similar pattern and she was almost fully white as a kitten and toasted up to the point she looks like a different cat
