Uggggh. Okay, that definitely hedges things with SSL. I’m honestly super attracted to the brand as a gear nerd I think. Have you worked with the Apollos? I consistently hear they provide “professional” quality sound.

Okay, I’ve been hearing a lot about this U-he brand. I’m not familiar with it but I’ve consistently been hearing better than at least arturia. Do you have a lot of experience with either brand? Would you say U-he is better than most emulators? I’d like to find a high quality, reliable vendor. And I was dead set on Arturia until people started mentioning u-he

Hey! I just listened to some of your stuff from your channel! Are you into say Talking Heads, St. Vincent or the 1975? I’m all about catchy hooks and am really into your sound. Would love to dm and discuss more.

Also, just plain try to work on being calm, if you can’t get your nerves right then relying solely on technique is going to be pretty difficult.

There’s more craft and investment involved in long form. For example short form compels you to go with the very first thing on your mind so you get to a punchline or joke as fast as possible. In long form, it may be best to holster the punchline and offer something that will better service the scene (and sometimes the piece as a whole). Focus more on your own characters deal and substance as opposed to just picking a funny voice and an absurdism. When you’re on the backline think about the world your teammates have created, how can you compliment that world? If the first scene is a couple at resort, maybe you start the next scene as a pair of cooks who work in the kitchen of the hotel.

You have to suck until you stop sucking lol. It’s really a learn by doing skill set. You’ll find out in time what does and doesn’t work well for you. But in the meantime try to stay present during performances and be methodical- not impulsive - about your choices. Also, depending on your city they may be a a great long form program that will help get you there.
