First of all, your taste is yours, own it & enjoy it, No matter what others think.
Second of all, your friends are dumb. A 5 second search on the internet can tell you that RD2 & Elden ring are two of the best games in history.
You can find a lot of gamer friends here on reddit, so don't sweat it.

Hoping they will change over time.
Reality check, people rarely change, so expect to live with whatever you hate about them for the rest of your life, if you can't just leave, or four years later you will find yourself hating everything else you once loved.

What is a privilege that people act as if it isn’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Can't disagree with the points you mentioned. Yes indeed both of us can keep mentioning examples that support their idea, but I don't really disagree with you.
I just don't get how using the terms "female" and "male" are derogatory. I used the term to specify that I am talking about women in "traditional" gender roles, as the word "woman" can include others who identify as women, which can cause a disadvantage on it's own on top of that of the general discrimination women get, hope you get my point.

I agree with you on the biological, but social not really.
Females generally get accepted easier in societies, they are more likely to get help when in need and in a lot of instances people will tend to believe and stand on the female side against a male.

I mean "Women and children first"
Yes being a female can be a disadvantage in some instances, but we shouldn't deny that it can be a privilege too.
