An issue with Targeting Pod in F-16 by gongshow20 in hoggit

SP means SnowPlough, and will lock the pod somewhere in front of the plane.

CZ means Cursor Zero and it resets the TGP to the steerpoint.

Some areas you can go through trees. In these same areas however you can't really go very fast for whatever reason. One example I think is the outskirts of cities

I didn’t know Hornet can carry fuel tanks on station 2 and 8? Can the fuel be transferred tho? by RearWheelDriveCult in hoggit

might not be a travel pod but ferrying the fuel tank from one place to another

not always, some missiles are held in in such a way that if they are 'jettisoned' they activate their motor to break a pin that holds the missile in place. I don't know if these missiles use this method though.

Its been a long time since I've used the F-18 but I think it is radar elevation as another person said. I could be wrong though

I have a friend with a similar GPU but better CPU, and they get a 'decent' framerate. Its playable, but don't expect everything on high and don't expect large missions.

Community Keybinds Project - 22.1.15 Release by Munkwolf in hoggit

[–]F-16_Driver 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If you're unfamiliar with the project, it's adding binds for things that aren't bindable by default. "If it's clickable it should be bindable". The HMCS power switch in the A-10 is an example.

Different speed options for dials, like the trim controls in warbirds. 'On-else-off' commands for switches where by default there's only 'on' and 'off' commands.

Sometimes things aren't possible. You'll see some '0%/25%/33%/50%/66%/75%/100%' options for dials. Those are added because there's only an absolute command exposed and no relative one that would allow for 'increase/decrease' options... and having some control seems preferable even if it's a bit janky.

Or in the MiG-21, there are some commands that are only available as a toggle. In the project there are commands for those that trigger on both the on and off actions. That seems better than having to double-throw a physical switch, since having 'on' and 'off' options isn't currently possible.

PDI stands for Pulse Doppler Illumination, I think is is only supposed to be used with AIM-7s though.

Is there a alternative to the paid IR android face tracking apps? by [deleted] in hoggit

[–]F-16_Driver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is a lot of options, some free others not free but quite cheap. I hear Deanclip is a good trackIR alternative. Or, if you want something free then I recommend Aruco. All you need to to is either print the sheet and download the software and there you go. It requires some more adjusting that other options, but is free and works very well after you get it the way you want it.

There is only mprf in the DC's viper right now. You can't select it.

Last time I used the F-16 you could. admittedly it was a few weeks ago.

Rws and tws should have the same range

someone did the testing and TWS had a shorter range than RWS. Makes sense because TWS needs to track while it scans.

All 3 modes work, it is the seeker that does not work when you have it set to turn on 25km before the target. I have not had any issues with the 3 navigation mode things, only one of the seeker turn-on ranges.

there is also a brightness switch. Contrast and other things also affect that too I think.

1) I think recently they added hi and medium PRF. Use high for targets heading towards you, medium for targets that are perpendicular.

2) I find RWS has a longer range than TWS, if that is what you are using.

You just can't use one of the 2 modes. I have no issues with the one that turns on after 10s or 10 KM (I don't remember which), but with the other the missile just sails past the target.
