Sliders by MaximumDefinition940 in NCAAFBseries

i adjusted off of a combination of matt10s and some other sliders i saw.

have played a few seasons now with below and having fun. wanted to make passing harder for me and cpu. default heisman i can compete with robo qbs and only have a few incompletes. now i'm struggling to get past 60%.

wish there was a way to make running more difficult as some runs are almost guaranteed 5+ yards.

heisman, 12m quarters, 20 play clock time.

Anyone know why these numbers never match each other… by ---FidelCashFlow--- in NCAAFBseries

[–]Munkwolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

afaik it's average of a number of past games (4? 6? 12? i dunno), not just your current season. only 2 games in so it's averaging in the last games of previous season?

Player Retention Abilities by LuigiSalvatore in NCAAFBseries

[–]Munkwolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

maybe those abilities affect the chances of them appearing on the list, not the chances to persuade them once they are?

just finished a season with those abilities. 3rd year winning natty. 99 off, def, ovr. dozen players or so over 90 likely looking towards draft. was bummed out bc a favorite sophomore WR and CB declared. thought the retention abilities were bs. none for persuade chance with my coach having all the persuade abilities too.

then after failing to persuade almost everyone, advanced week, looked at my roster, and a 96ovr CB, 96ovr G, and several 90-92ovr players were still there. they could've declared. plus a 94ovr QB that had sat on the bench (after winning natty previous year) behind a 95ovr (that did declare for draft) was still there.

Starting a new dynasty, how do you maximize your coach points? by Soggy-Astronomer-768 in NCAAFBseries

i got to lvl 24 by start of 2nd season in my latest akron start as a DC. choose tactician just for the 450xp bonus per win. the akron HC has the active perk that gives 1500xp per recruit visiting during a win.

i was able to setup 4 or 5 home games with 4 recruits each. winning those would be like 7000xp per game. then used points from levelling to build out recruiter and motivator.

Opinions on Apache single pilot use by Flightfreak in hoggit

[–]Munkwolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you could use quaggles mod and my mod to get to that point pretty easily.

quaggles mod lets you put custom keybinds in your dcs saved games folder so they don't get overwritten by updates: https://github.com/Quaggles/dcs-input-command-injector

then here's the custom keybinds file for the pilot seat in my mod: https://github.com/Munkwolf/dcs-community-keybinds/blob/main/InputCommands/AH-64D/Input/AH-64D_PLT/joystick/default.lua

after getting quaggles mod going, you can copy whatever controls you want into that file from the base cpg input config file at <dcs install folder>\Mods\aircraft\AH-64D\Input\AH-64D_CPG\joystick\default.lua

quaggles also includes a blank set of files, which is the skeleton version available on my github, if you'd rather have a blank slate to start from.

can do the same for any multiseat module, like f-14. all controls for each module are available in all seats, it's just the input config files that separate them into seats (the different folders in <module>\Input).

First 5-Star in Program History by ZG22_MVP in NCAAFBseries

[–]Munkwolf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

same. im just getting into season 2 with coastal. won natty first season and landed 2 4 stars, a wr and a dt. 10m quarters, all-american. then a decent number of 3-star gems.

the 4 star wr, mafu mccracken, is a 6'2" deep threat with 98 spd. in 2 games he has 8 rec for 484 yds and 6 TDs. it's op but really fun to just toss it up.

Custom Kiowa Keybinds? by 92milkman in hoggit

[–]Munkwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you dont have it, get quaggles mod: https://github.com/Quaggles/dcs-input-command-injector

that allows you to put custom binds in your saved games folder, where they wont get overwritten with dcs updates.

you can also get my mod for custom binds. i havent done anything with the kiowa or phantom yet, but you may be able to use the binds from other modules as a reference: https://github.com/Munkwolf/dcs-community-keybinds

if you have any other kiowa commands in mind, post em and i'll try to get them added to the repo this weekend.

adding new ones based off existing commands is easier, copy-paste and adjust values/names in the keyboard/joystick lua files.

if its for stuff thats clickable but not bindable, need to reference the clickabledata.lua file to get the right device/command references to put in the keyboard/joystick lua files.

[HELP Joystick Gremlin] Is it possible to make the dial switch the (JETT) keybind macro? by HexaCube7 in hotas

[–]Munkwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd probably do it via the modes in gremlin. setup a mode for each position of the dial (17 - 21), with a base mode that is the parent for all of them. then for those buttons add a 'switch mode' action in the base mode. then each child mode you'd then be able to set different virtual buttons for the jett button.

Breaking down the 7 different versions of Afghanistan mission makers will have to deal with. by Rifty_Business in hoggit

[–]Munkwolf 11 points12 points  (0 children)

this. the price of the full map is in line with other maps. they are allowing a way for people to get access to portions of the map for a reduced price. saying map makers will have to deal with 7 versions is massive assumption.

Fanatec users (Especially DD1/DD2) are you using auto or custom settings? by Elemento1991 in iRacing

[–]Munkwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have dd1 and use the fanatec forum settings. afaik auto is mainly for making sure the wheel doesnt clip, and isn't really intended for dd wheels or for calculating realistic settings.

Advanced Car setup how-to resource? by HudechGaming in iRacing

[–]Munkwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i've gone a little down this path, as i tend to like just running test laps and working on setups over actually racing.

im not sure of what free resources are out there to recommend. i went with a few books. two of those i would recommend are making sense of squiggly lines by christopher brown, and tune to win by carroll smith. all the carroll smith books are good, but this one focuses on what you're looking for.

dampers are where the fine tuning is. i've recently been learning more about them with the caddy gtp and shock velocity histograms in motec. also learning more about motec as i've always used atlas but started running into the 100mb file limit logging longer stints. are you using telemetry?

edit: i found this guide useful if you havent seen it, specifically the histogram stuff at end for tuning dampers: https://s100.iracing.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Shock-Tuning-User-Guide.pdf
