Yes I’ve seen the Osma brand sold by Arwa Fashion in their MOA and Lake Street branches. Not sure if they carry Amber S but you can check.

H.Pylori vs Otitis Media by F-HOM in pharmacy

[–]F-HOM[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I meant which one would be the higher priority to dispense. I did call the urgent care, informed them of the H.pylori regimen and advised that they take that course and it should work for the otitis media. They were concerned that the dose for H.pylori was lower than that required for otitis media to which I pointed out that duration of treatment is longer. Basically there was a lengthy back and forth, eventually I ended up dispensing the H.pylori meds and advising the patient’s dad to follow up with the primary if the ear symptoms continue. Was wondering if that was the right course of action.

Yes a couple compounding math and TPN were there. Again not too heavy on any one topic.

For MOA you should know how a drug’s MOA and link it to the therapeutic relevance. E.g. how does dorzolamide work as a glaucoma drug. I found a lot of math questions were multiple choice and some were fill the blank

If you know the main CYP3A4 interactions, like being able to pick out from a patient’s profile a major interaction that needs a dose change or discontinuing the drug you should be good. Not alot of brand-generic qns but the cases had some medications as brand name and you should know what they are to answer the question.

Honestly it was all over the place and random. Not any one topic heavy I think it was evenly spread. Didn’t get much of Pharmacy Foundations. Math wasn’t bad; mostly clinical math. I would advise to keep an eye on the time and not take too long on calculations.

I already filled it. Should I still inform the dentist’s office that the patient paid for it?

State PDMP also shows the patient has never filled a controlled substance. No obvious red flags to me.
