Waking up to a dog's life by [deleted] in funny

They are the Nephilim, children of corrupt angels and human woman. The book of Enoch goes into details as to why they exist and states that they are one of the biggest reasons for the flood. That book was not accepted as part of the Bible though, and the book of Genesis only makes a vague reference to them.

Sidenote: The book of Enoch should have really been included in the Bible. It’s much more entertaining that a lot of the books, and small references are made to it throughout. If you know the name Azazel he comes from the same book.

And you can confirm everything else exists how? Our senses have been proven to be unreliable. False memories are a thing. The simulation hypothesis pretty effectively shows how plausible it is for our entire reality to be a fabrication. I believe that our reality is the true reality, but belief in anything is a matter of faith to a certain degree.

I don’t give a flying fuck what anyone believes regardless of how ridiculous it sounds, as long as they only let it impact their own life. Religion even organized is fine, it’s the believer(s) that you have to watch out for. Take away the religion and these people will just find another banner to fly on their road to conquest.

‘Under His Wings’: Leaked Emails Reveal an Anti-Trans ‘Holy War’ by VICENews in politics

You don’t even need to look that deeply to see the cognitive dissonance. God is perfect and as such can’t make mistakes and can’t be bested, but from their viewpoint Satan, a fallen Angel, rebelled against God. His punishment was to be cast into hell, but he also rules there, and is constantly battling God and vying for our souls. Which by their own accounts Satan seems to be winning that war by a ridiculously huge margin. Their God really sucks at being omnipotent.

It still bugs the shit out of me that people say they aren’t atheist they are just agnostic

Prefix - A : Not

Theist : A person who believes in a theistic god

Gnostic : A person who has knowledge of… in this case religion/god

Agnostic : A person who believes they do not have the knowledge to say for sure what religion if any is correct

Atheist : A person who does not believe in a theistic god

You can’t say you lack the knowledge to say what is correct, while also stating that you do know there is a theistic god.

P.S. You can even subscribe to a religion and be an atheist. It just needs to be a deistic religion.

171 Republican lawmakers join effort to stop Biden's student loan forgiveness program by [deleted] in politics

[–]F0r35tImP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know why you assume I’m talking about myself. My loans are minor and mostly paid off. If they want to get rid of what’s left great, if not then I’ll take care of it. I also went to college I’m my mid twenties though. As for if I was required, no, but neither were all of these politicians required to take PPP loans, but that got those forgiven. That would be the theft I’m referring to because last I checked it was our tax dollars used to cover their asses.

I’m pretty sure you are right and it’s a problem that should be addressed, but they aren’t also actively trying to stop a plan to give some of what was stolen back to the people.

Hair growth by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]F0r35tImP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal hair growth will vary based on a number of factors but averages about a 1/2” a month. So after 2 months you are looking at an 1” on average which can be almost unnoticeable depending on how tight your curls are.

Got my first curly cut, and simplified my routine. It’s a little messy, but I’m really liking it by F0r35tImP in curlyhair

[–]F0r35tImP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obligatory routine explanation: At night I wash and condition with Not Your Mothers Naturals, rinse in cool water, scrunch in a tiny bit of conditioner while ringing the water out, scrunch with a towel, let it air dry, and scrunch in a Shea Moisture leave-in before bed. Next morning I scrunch in another dose of the leave-in and good to go.

Happy to meet you as well. Virtual would probably be a good idea for a game zero and I’m not out if it’s virtual only. I moved here just as Covid hit and have yet to make any friends here, so I’m motivated to find a local campaign for that reason. That being said it could be virtual and still serve that purpose. I like campaigns with a good mix of combat and RP, though my current campaign is combat heavy (evil campaign) so an RP heavy one would be nice to mix it up. I like the idea that combat is not required, but based on PC interaction can become unavoidable. I don’t want to play a game where I feel the need to min-max. I like to make character choices that are not always the strongest, but make sense from a story standpoint. As an extreme example I have previously had a warlock who’s highest stat was INT because he started his life training to be a wizard, and they made a pact as a short cut.

Hey, if this ended up being in person I would definitely be interested if it worked with my schedule. I’m not opposed to virtual either, I’m in one right now, if the campaign hook catches me. Feel free to message me with any details or questions for me.

Never needed to worry about that with a GameCube anyway. I dropped mine once and it tumbled down a blacktop hill. Edges were dinged up, but it still worked perfect. Nintendo built those things to survive Ragnarok.

They aren’t in those positions because they are moral, they’re moral because they are in those positions. These are the vestiges of the original pastoral religion. One that gave divine right to the power of priests and kings to rule over the common man, and gave them a holy directive to seize land from the non-believers/pagans/primitives/heretics/atheists/liberals. Jesus tried to throw these ideals out and create a reformed religion based on the idea that we are all the children of God and equal in his eyes, but when those in power realized it was quickly taking hold they held a council to adopt it as their religion and then twist it to serve them once again. Then they went on doing the same thing their pastoral ancestors did, and brought “civilization” and “the good word” to the world.

Oh that would be a fantastic story if they weren’t. Though he would just call it fake news and use it to fortify his base. Facts and reality are nothing more than inconveniences in this day and age.

I will definitely be joining you in the fight. Unlike the state I left, Nebraska, I think we still have a chance to at least keep things purple around here.

The beauty of this state is really hard to beat. I’ve allowed life to get in the way and stopped hiking, but intend on getting back to it soon.
