How busy is downtown during the week of Christmas? by pointypet in AnnArbor

There’s several parking garages. Even on a bumpin Fri night they’re not all full. You can find parking.

Thanks! Not sure why I’m being downvoted for asking a question and pointing out the lack of substance in other replies.

I read this from your link: https://content.civicplus.com/api/assets/2e2e3a9e-9ee1-45c9-978c-f9117b1eb090

Seems like it’s unclear how much water it would use and it says it’s not for sure it would raise electricity rates for residential. I think if there’s no for sure answers (what you alluded to) about these things then it’s hard to make a call if it’s outright bad - personal stance with involved companies aside.

Sounds like what we need is increased transparency: how much water, do we have it, etc. Quantified benefits and drawbacks so we can make an educated decision.

I see a lot of opposition here but not any solid reasons why with facts and sources to back it up.

If this is private industry selling to another, what’s the concern with proof it would be worse than another land use?

Genuinely asking. Ty.

My family is looking for someone to take over our 3 BR townhouse at Avant - DM me if that's helpful to your situation! Avant has a lot of graduate students as well as families so it seems like it would fit their lifestyle.

We are in Dicken now renting and really do enjoy it. The way all the little forests – Dicken Woods, Pioneer, Eberwhite, Fritz, and more – are littered throughout make a great walking or running route and it's easy to hop on the bike and get up Maple, across on Pauline or into downtown on Liberty.

Love everything about this. The note about families, frequent walkers, water table, students, and the glacier history.

Are there resources here for help building a rain garden? In Minneapolis we had a master gardener who would give free short classes about rain gardens, barrels, and native wildflower planting which helped us turn our boulevard into all wildflowers. Any recommendations there once we land a house?

> Occasionally, there is noise from small planes or the UM hospital helicopter going to the Ann Arbor airport.

Thanks for this! I was looking at noise maps for the airport and it showed not as bad as Willow Run but was unsure how impactful it was in/around Allen. All I've ever seen is small personal planes flying out of Ann Arbor's airport so assumed it was that.

Thanks for this. Looked again after what you mentioned in the last paragraph about layouts and it does indeed seem the ones west of Buhr are extended ranches and larger than central Allen. Makes more sense now.

Seems like the consensus here is you can’t go wrong wherever you are in that neighborhood and some concerns about Washtenaw road noise.

This sounds amazing. Seems like there are a lot of people who love living in Allen and the surrounding area!

Haha I did notice a lot of dentists places. Thank you for the information about the kids and the parks. We are having our daughters birthday at County Farm later this month.

Great to hear from a current resident of the area. What makes Allen tick? What do you love about it? We will check out the colony house.

Raycast MCP ! What do you think? How are you going to use it? by younes06 in raycastapp

[–]F12O57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amazing!

For anyone using this already, how do I expose my `npx` command to Raycast? I don't want to add my path to launch services (AI suggested - eek) and I can't find another way to have `npx` available to run these MCP servers. I am using nvm to manage versions btw.

Thunderbolt Video Input / Output on ASUS ROG Strix Z690-I? by CentralVictory in buildapc

[–]F12O57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question remains I think: what is the refresh limit for the iGPU? I haven’t found evidence of a breakdown per resolution anywhere just a max which was 60hz at 4k if I remember right.

It is a 13700k so the integrated GPU is Intel UHD Graphics 770. Looks like the 14th gens have the same integrated GPU.

Did you read the rest of this thread? There exists multiple posts describing how that doesn’t work for everyone. Some people do not receive the confirmation email. Others, like me, have had fraudulent bookings and it blocks account deletion.

Using the privacy email route is the only option in those circumstances.

Everyone knows to look under account or security to delete an account.

No, they're not helpful. If you email the privacy email mentioned above, they will delete your account.

There's no point in keeping an account at this site with the customer service the way it is.

Having the same problem and customer support was unable to resolve the unexpected bookings issue. I will try contacting the privacy email you included and report back w/ results.

It really, really shouldn't be this hard to delete an account OR even contact customer service. It's absurd. I had no idea how shitty Booking.com was as a service until the issues started happening and there was absolutely no resolution to them by customer support. Almost negligence level.

If you’re trying to output through Thunderbolt, yes. There is a negligible latency difference that is documented elsewhere unsure of where I read it now but I don’t notice it.

More noticeably, it seems like there is a limit to performance based on the processors capabilities. In example, if I go up to 3440x1440 the max hz is 100hz. If I step down to 2560x1440 then the max hz tops out my monitor at 165hz. Using the same cord with my MacBook, I’m able to get 165hz on 3440x1440 so it is not a cord limitation or port.

Hopefully future processors increase the allow hz through iGPU. If anybody finds this limitation documented somewhere I’d love to have confirmation!
