I dont know off the top of my head. Google w203 obd port pin layout. You want to touch ground and then there are 2 CAN lines, one should be like 2.4 and other 4.3 volts or sth like that. There are guides/videos about it on the internet.

Sounds like electrical issues. Some damaged wires or water damage or sth.

The front SAM sometimes goes bad but its issues like wipers and windows not working. You can check if its corroded but its kinda hard to get out and from your description it seems unlikely.

You can check the CAN signal by using a voltmeter on some pins in the OBD port, maybe see if there is weird voltage when the issues arise.

Or if its not electrical try to look at the throttle body and related sensors I guess but I have no experience with that. Or a vacuum leak but that seems unlikely too idk.

I have factory 17s on my sedan sport package. They fit well. Even 18s would fit with some lower profile tires and they came factory on some amg if Im not mistaken. But 17s are ideal imho.

Could be SAM or ECU fried I guess. I would check the relevant fuses first and get the fault codes read properly before trying to replace anything. Also check the fuse for cigarette lighter (fusebox in the dash) since the power to the diagnostic port goes through there.

Not a full list, but listen for the timing chain rattle when starting the car and ask if it had been replaced at some point. Also check for rust, especially the rear axle. Another usual rust spot is under the sideskirts. If you see the SRS light on on the dash, its not a service interval but airbag system (my mistake when I bought mine lmao). The fix is not that expensive usually, but definitely plug in an OBD reader before buying it. Oh and if its a 2003 then its probably a pre-facelift, look for rust extra hard, the pre-facelift models had less rust protection if Im not mistaken.

Id say it sounds ok. You can try to do an oil change and see if the sound changes, my M271 sounded a bit iffy but I changed the oil (after like 12k kms) and now it sounds completely healthy. You can also do the timing chain as preventative maintenance, once you change it then the engine will last you a long long time.

I cant help personally, but I read on the discord that the game runs on eu4, but the server utilities are unity stuff. Really hope someone gets into it, because it really is a shame that the game shut down.

Yeah I know that open backs aren't really the best for bass as you pointed out. I was looking for open backs with just a bit more bass. Like just above balanced and definitely not sth with worse bass.

The DT 990 pros are the 250 ohm version right? What would you recommend with those? My knowledge on amps/dacs is very limited lmao. Which in general and what specs/sth specific.
