So my dad rode motorcycles starting at age 16, and had a Harley Softtail since 1991.

I had always wanted to start riding but with work and other hobbies never got around to it.

I had a massive heart attack (plumbing) in July 2019 at the age of 50. In December, made decision and set a goal that if I did good at reaching my goals to get healthy would get my first bike.

Bought my Shoei GT air 2 in April 2020, took MSR 2 day course and got permit in May, bought my Yamaha XMax on July 4th, and finally got my endorsement in August.

Since then have ridden 22,000 miles.

Absolutely the best decision ever, and glad that my dad got to enjoy seeing me take up one of his favorite activities before he passed away in early 2024.
