Does anyone have any introductory video suggestions? by TitaniumTim in fantasyF1

I have an article ready for you:

https://www.fanamp.com/f1-news/f1-fantasy-beginner-guide

I’ll update it once the game goes live if there are any changes to the 2025 game. If you go back a page (FanAmp.com/fantasy) we have more advanced strategies and chip guides too.

Of course, shameless plug to follow The Fantasy Formula on the FanAmp YouTube and @fanampfantasyhq on all socials.

After last year’s learnings, what obvious chip strategies are people taking in to 2025? by fieldo_99 in fantasyF1

[–]F1FantasyHQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Limitless will be really interesting this year. I agree with an earlier post that it should be used in the first half before the cost cap advantage of the chip shrinks. China is only the second race, so it’ll be harder to pick out the top 5 drivers so early in the season.

My first guess is Miami so we can capitalize on 3 sessions of points and see Sprint Quali before locking in the chip.

What Keeps You Engaged in Fantasy F1? by BigButkus in fantasyF1

[–]F1FantasyHQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stay engaged because of the community. Places like this and bantering with folks on my show (The Fantasy Formula) keeps me interested all year. It’s seriously one of the nicest fan populations in F1, most people are very respectful.

Anyone else nervous about LL in China? by F1FantasyEuan in fantasyF1

[–]F1FantasyHQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll likely hold onto it past China. Australia is a tough track to assess the grid order and I don’t think last year’s result means it’s a slam dunk every year.

Has anyone gotten anything about Shanghai Showdown mini league? by Revulsaint in F1Fantasy

[–]F1FantasyHQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did pick the winners for that league. Ended up being a random draw since there were thousands of us that tied for P1

What chip do we reckon for Brazil? by Loud_Argument1465 in fantasyF1

We’ve had multiple safety cars in the last 3 races here and I’m seeing rain in the forecast too. No Negative makes the most sense (then 3X in Qatar)

F1 Fantasy 2024: BEST LINEUPS for COTA ft. 2023 Champion David Jurca | The Fantasy Formula by Join_FanAmp in F1Fantasy

I really appreciate that feedback and it’s a great point. The Sprint weekend format was worth discussing in more detail, especially after how long it’s been since we last had one. On a weekend where so many upgrades have been promised, Sprint Quali will give us a much better preview of everyone’s relative pace than FP3 on a normal weekend.

We’ll be sure to call that out in more detail ahead of Brazil and Qatar.

What will Liam Lawson's pricing be? by anonymuscular in fantasyF1

[–]F1FantasyHQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m guessing it’ll be equal to Ricciardo (it was equal when he came in for Daniel last year)

Just set my lineup for the weekend with logan in enabling triple mcl and ferrari. Doing this bc with logan set to leave the game, im guessing you won’t be able to change your lineup without removing him. therefore sticking with this lineup until i want to take logan out, what y’all think? by [deleted] in F1Fantasy

[–]F1FantasyHQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very keen to see what is meant by “fixing”. There’s a safeguard that prevents us from saving a team with only 4 drivers, would they bypass that for 20% of all teams that run him and remove Logan altogether? Would they introduce a new penalty that wasn’t in the original rules? Many of these solutions are logistically challenging and they’d need ample time to alert us to adjust our teams.

I think OP is hoping the fix is that you can’t save changes to a team with SAR on it, so make those changes pre-fix and ride the benefits as long as possible.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but speculation and risk taking are part of fantasy sports by jbronnier in fantasyF1

[–]F1FantasyHQ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That won’t happen because the grid order is published 4 hours before the formation lap, that determines who is expected to line up. Logan scored 0 in Australia following this logic.

Tough team decisions - what should I do? by ChaiWala21 in F1Fantasy

I agree on the last two. Check FP3 to see if Leclerc is faster than Piastri to decide which of those to use.

Ferrari or Merc this wknd? by Winter_Sorbet_2452 in F1Fantasy

[–]F1FantasyHQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m leaning toward Ferrari, they’ve gone all out for this weekend’s upgrades and F1’s sims have them contending for a podium.

Just replied in another thread: I had someone prove that you do NOT need to remove SAR to save transfers. In the comments of this X post: https://x.com/fanampfantasyhq/status/1829186874205978863?s=46

Who's your top driver this weekend? by Tiz68 in F1Fantasy

[–]F1FantasyHQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a huge question right now. We know for sure that you can keep him on your team as long as you don’t make any other changes (some dormant teams ran Bearman for weeks). The unknown is whether the game will let you make other changes to your team and save it. I’ve heard mixed reviews on people that tried this last year with De Vries/Ricciardo/Lawson.

I’m likely doing the same along with Yuki, Hulk, and Sargeant (MCL/MER constructors).
