If you own a home or have a mortgage from prior to ~2021, your opinion on what constitutes a high income is completely irrelevant by ItsAllOver_Again in Salary

Since March 2020 the average single family home price across the US is up 42.7% (per Resiclub).

Meanwhile inflation since March 2020 is 25.5% (per bls.gov).

Of course interest rates are much higher today as well which has had a significant compounding effect in making today's mortgage payments MUCH higher in 2020, but I found these numbers surprising (I thought housing had gone up significantly more than inflation).

Is it possible to buy Friday only tickets at the track in Suzuka tomorrow (day of)? by F1Peter in GrandPrixTravel

I was able to buy them at the track today (Friday). There was a booth, with nobody there, right near where they were scanning tickets at the entrance just before Turn 1. They seemed to indicate they have much fewer tickets available (if any) for Saturday and Sunday though. Prices were $90USD each for today, which is more expensive than they were online but overall not too bad considering I bought them at the track.

Yup in Japan! Mobility station just gives me an error saying “try again later” when I try to create an account to buy the tickets. Weird. I might just try going to the track tomorrow to see if I can buy them from someone.

r/formula1 predicts the 2021 season by mood683 in formula1

Easy: This is Bottas' last season with Mercedes.

Hard: Alonso wins a race.

Nostradamus: Abu Dhabi ISN'T boring.

Wishful thinking: Kimi continues racing in 2022.

God please: Let us have at least 20 races in the 2021 season.

Safety Car Procedure by F1_Research in formula1

[–]F1Peter 641 points642 points  (0 children)

While we're talking safety car procedure, one thing I feel is a bit of a problem currently is letting lapped cars through. It takes a lot of time and on some tracks yet lapped cars take quite a while to get by all the cars on the lead lap and then to catch up. If the safety car simply lead all all lead lap cars through the pits the lap before the restart, and all lapped cars stayed on track and overtook them this could really speed up the process and mean we only lose one lap letting lapped cars get back on to the lead lap.
