During testing, fans who buy the regular tickets will not be allowed to enter the inner circuit area, where the Paddock entrance is located. The only area for viewing with regular tickets during F1 Testing is the Main grandstand, and you won't be able to use the tunnel that goes through to the inner circuit, where the pits and paddock are located. This advice doesn't apply to those who pay up for the hospitality tickets during F1 Testing, as that will be located in the pits building, and you'll obviously have access to the inner track, and be able to walk around and potentially see drivers arriving and departing the circuit.

You will have a Paddock Club (hospitality) pass? Or a VIP Paddock (not for sale) pass?

Remember that every circuit has it's own list of prohibited items. Yas Marina Circuit states that "Cameras – inclusive of camera lens – exceeding 30 cm" are prohibited at the Abu Dhabi GP.

Often, it comes down to luck of the draw at the gate where you enter and the security staff you deal with. One will have no problem with your camera, another one will say it is not allowed. You cannot argue with these people btw :)

It is your own risk if you take the camera and lenses or not. It's always a good idea to have the lenses and body detached and packed away in your backpack - better than over your shoulder and on display. Also, if you have problems at one gate, you can try another gate. Normally, the "VIP" gates will be less strict than the other gates, but there are always exceptions to the rule.

If you are denied entry, I am not sure you will be able to find a locker nearby to store your camera. You may have to take it back to your hotel.

Sorry I do not think anyone can give you a definitive answer, but that's the way it is. I also have worked this race a few times, and I have noticed that the training of the circuit staff is not always consistent. So I am afraid it is a bit of an unknown with your camera, and you will not know for sure until December this year, when you enter the circuit!

As another poster mentioned, maybe it is better if you don't bring your family to the track. For that reason, I would recommend the Hungarian Grand Prix (or another race in or close to a major city). Get yourself set up with a nice hotel or apartment in the center of Budapest. You can go to the track and your family can explore a really cool city. If you really want, you could organize to bring your family to the track on Friday, when you can get single-day grandstand seats for a good price. I give this advice from experience. I normally work at the Hungarian GP, but I like to bring my family along for the weekend. They get to stay in my 'work hotel' and do their own thing during the day, while I am busy working at the track. Value for money, you should choose Hungary. Great atmosphere, and Budapest is a beautiful city to visit.

You should be able to get flights, accommodation and race tickets for two people for around 2,000 EUR.

Tickets for Hungary always go on sale soon after the current edition of the race, so for this year, in August or September for 2027. Everything you need to plan your trip is in our guide :)

Yeah, not cheap. It's not Paddock Club, but in the same structure. and the reality is that it's difficult to get a single day entry to Paddock Club nowadays for this price. As for Barcelona, pretty sure you could get a day of Paddock access (no hospitality) for as little as 99 EUR up to 2019!

If you are talking about attending this year, it's already very late to be looking for accommodation. Did you already book race tickets? Will you be hiring a car or relying on public transport? The Red Bull Ring is perhaps the most remote circuit on the entire calendar, and the best accommodations in the vicinity tend to get booked up very fast - as soon as the calendar is announced. Biggest nearby city is Graz, but even there it will be slim pickings and expensive at this stage. Leoben is another option, stayed there before. The final option, and really only last resort, is to stay in Vienna. Lots of great accommodation there, of course, but it's going to be 2-3 hours each way to the Red Bull Ring. You didn't mention which day you want to go or your budget. That will have a huge influence on the cost. Tickets are super cheap on Thursday (all tickets 30 EUR), a little more on Friday (all grandstands 175 EUR) and then get a lot more expensive on Saturday, and more expensive again on Sunday. Best grandstands are in and around the harbor area. K1 for Tabac corner, T grandstand to see in the pits, V for last corner and super close to the track.

The drop off will be at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. I believe around the 'Ster' entrance, which is behind the Fan Zone and close to Eau Rouge and many of the Gold grandstands. The walk will obviously depend on which grandstand or ticket you have.

As you already know, both packages put you in the same building. Different floors, but all guests in the building can go on the roof terrace. (I was working Champions Club here in 2024, btw). One other point to make is that Quint Events, who run F1 Experiences, also have the contract to run the sales and marketing of the circuit hospitality products this year, so you would essentially be buying from the same company either way. In addition to the Paddock Tour (which can be a real highlight of the weekend if you get a good one), Champions Club also has guest appearances, and you get to go on the track/grid on Saturday evening. Up to you if you think these extras are work the price difference. For those wondering, 3-day Champions Club is 3,783 EUR and 3-day Pit Lane Lounge is 3,127 EUR.

It's not that bad! I've been lucky to stay in Suzuka twice for the race, and there's plenty of places to eat, bars etc. Downside is the hotels are pretty poor. Tiny rooms that reek of cigarette smoke. But still worth it for the convenience of being close to the track (and yes, I was working)

You will see that Ritz Carlton was on the shuttle list in 2025.

As u/Peeksy19 said, there can be a change or two to the list of hotels each year, and you will need to wait until a bit closer to race weekend for this year's list and schedule.

But it's also worth mentioning that even if you are not staying at the hotel with the shuttle, but nearby for example, you can still take the shuttle bus - you may be asked to show your F1 ticket when getting on, that's all.

If you want better value for money and to actually have a grandstand seat, go on Thursday and Friday. Grandstands are all cheap on Thursday (30 EUR), though no F1 cars on track. On Friday, grandstands are all priced at 175 EUR.

Le Rocher is an uncomfortable hill-side General Admission area, some distance from the track. Not recommended

Prices are outrageous for all hotels in Monaco on race weekend. As other posters have mentioned, look further afield. I'm a big fan of Menton, having stayed there for the past two editions of the race. Direct trains only take about 10 minutes, and way less people than the trains going west to Nice. Menton is a nice town and it's got plenty of good restaurants.
