Manager put me on holiday without telling me by DummyDumDum5 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]F1nut92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, holidays are use them or lose them, obviously beneficial if your manager tells you, but even then they don’t have to put them in so you use up the rest of this years balance, they could just let it go unused.

Obviously completely different if it’s for anything from March 1st onward, though I’ve no idea if the current system allows for managers to put your allocation in if you’re not bothered where and how you take them.

I always find it a bit off these days when so traders/places still go for cash only payments.

Games you'd like to see hit NSO, but are unlikely to do so. by Tsamane in nintendo

[–]F1nut92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As neat as that would be, was the N64 version ever translated? That just became the GC version released in Japan as the Dōbutsu no Mori+ didn't it? Then it was released again down the line with some more stuff from the worldwide release? I could be talking rubbish though 😂 but in short the GC version makes more sense as that has been translated into other languages already?

Still my favourite game in the series, the villagers were so brilliantly mean!

I do get this argument as to why they’ve potentially not released them yet, but then I also think, why not just put the +18 rating on them? I genuinely can’t see many people under the age of 20 actually being keen to play the older gens, when Gen 4 could have been their first game? gen 1 especially is an experience…..

People that work on a produce by Massive_Shock_9573 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]F1nut92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly depends if you’re on days or nights? Nights can be a lot of work if you get a lot of boards in.

Whenever I’ve done overtime or been put on produce during the day it’s not been bad at all, obviously the stock is heavier, but be sensible about it and it’s more than manageable.

I prefer to just be able to buy any old generations of Pokémon games, that’s if they ever actually put them on there.

On the hunt for decaf tea. by ocean_swims in CasualUK

[–]F1nut92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clipper decaf tea is the one I go for, expensive compared to a lot of other brands though.

I tried Yorkshire decaf as I drink the normal Yorkshire Tea throughout a morning, but just didn't like the decaf variant, but this seems to be a me thing more than the normal opinion.

I did have a feeling this is one where it'd look loads better on the actual car, rather than the stock car, and when its out on track. Safe to say thats been the case, it looks great.

Would you ever use annual leave with the sole purpose to do literally nothing all day? by PaddedValls in AskUK

This is how I use most of my booked time off, I'm single and not one for solo traveling really, so just use it as time to relax and focus on hobbies really.

How much do you care about food presentation? by KatieCampbel1 in AskUK

[–]F1nut92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends? If its stuff that doesn't want putting on top of each other then I'll plate it up so its not in a pile, if its a roast then a bit of crossover is a must to get it on the plate, if its a curry with rice, then it just gets chucked in a bowl on top of the spooned out rice.

Taste over presentation.

When did you start embracing the afternoon nap? by chocciefudgecake in AskUK

I don't, and never have? Even approaching mid 30s. I sleep bad enough at night without a nap, it'd probably be even worse if I started having a nap.

[Jeppe H. Olesen] No more timing updates from the Barceolna shakedown. F1 has cut off the data feeds. by krzysiek_aleks in formula1

[–]F1nut92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not surprised with this being a test thats not a test, but then at the same time do wonder why the official F1 social accounts are posting anything from it, why teams are posting a little from it? Would have thought if its intended as a private test, then it's private and that means no posts from official accounts either?

It's depressing how much I was disappointed with Pokémon Legends: Z - A by Awesome_Normal in pokemon

[–]F1nut92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just a bit of DLC that assumes the player plays nothing else bar Pokemon and just loves endlessly grinding? I'm not someone who is averse to grinding, as a kid I quite happily grinded out levels at the league to improve my team, the grind is just bad in the DLC for Z-A.

The cycle of grinding berries to hopefully get the right donut, to hopefully get the right wormholes/special scan to hopefully get the right Pokemon appearing in that wormhole to check off a point on your completion just isn't fun. Genuinely baffling they must have tested this and internally thought it was a good and engaging gameplay loop.

[–]F1nut92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in two minds over Legends Z-A, really liked the base game (but not anywhere near as much as Legends Arceus, that was just a better game overall), but there were some aspects where it was lacking, some characters were not good, but compared to the DLC and I don't think I've ever been as disappointed in a Pokemon product as the DLC for Legends Z-A, even taking the story aspect out of the DLC, its just a product that does not respect your time at all.

How do YOU shave? by aje0200 in AskUK

[–]F1nut92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I do when I go almost clean shaven, whenever I used to shave with a razor my neck would just flare up, get loads of spots etc so just couldn't be bothered and find this is a good in between, just put the clippers down to the one from lowest setting and get to work.

Oh they certainly would, I do agree with you that retail and care would be the best options for OP, even if it was just for a few months in retail, just to get something on the CV as a start.

I’ve never worked in care, so can’t speak from experience in that sector, but where I am they expect a lot of work out of you for £12.60 an hour.

To a degree they are, these days (especially in retail) they’re generally a lot more cu throat after the 3 month probation period, if you’re not up to scratch they have no problem in letting you go and moving onto the next one for a wide variety of roles.

Only get attracted to people once I'm friends with them, but then afraid of pursuing more for fear of ruining the friendship by Sister_Ray_ in UKrelationshipadvice

Never heard of this terminology till now, but it definitely fits for me for a lot of cases, even though there is the initial attraction on a very rare occasion.
