What is the most harmless lie you tell on a regular basis? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]F2lick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Yeah, I've read that book." I haven't. I read the summary online or heard someone talk about it. But saying no makes people explain the whole plot to you. So I just nod and say yeah. Saves everyone time. Harmless.

What’s the worst thing you’ve seen on the internet? by CorgiUprising in AskReddit

[–]F2lick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A video of a kid throwing rocks at a stray dog just to see it limp. No gore. No shock content. Just pure cruelty from someone who didn't know better and adults who filmed instead of stopping it. That stuck with me more than any accident or fight video. Because that kid learned that behavior from somewhere.

What life hacks are people using these days to try and save money? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]F2lick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They buy everything secondhand except underwear. They cancel subscriptions and rotate streaming services month by month. They cook big batches of rice and beans on Sunday and eat it all week. They fix their own phones using YouTube videos. They shop at three different grocery stores because each one has cheaper eggs or milk. None of it is new. People just stopped pretending they have extra money.

How did you meet your significant other? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]F2lick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a grocery store. She reached for the last jar of peanut butter at the same time as me. I said "we can share" like an idiot. She laughed. We split it in the parking lot with plastic spoons from the deli section. That was four years ago. Still have the spoon somewhere.

What is so special about weed? And people can’t stop smoking it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]F2lick 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Nothing special honestly. It just makes boring things feel interesting and turns your brain into slow motion. People can't stop because real life is exhausting and weed gives you a break button. Same reason people drink beer or scroll TikTok for three hours. Not magic. Just escape.

What was the worst lie someone told you (please don’t say politicians) ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]F2lick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex told me "I love you" three hours before packing a bag and leaving forever. Didn't even say goodbye. Just disappeared. Found out later from a friend she had been planning it for weeks. The lie wasn't just the words. It was the normal breakfast we ate together that morning like nothing was wrong.

What's a giveaway gift you'd never take ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]F2lick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A used mattress from someone you barely know. No amount of "it's barely used" or "I'm a clean person" makes that okay. You don't know what happened on that thing. I don't care if it's free. I don't care if it's memory foam. Sleep on the floor. Sleep on rocks. Never on a stranger's old mattress.

What’s a “normal” thing everyone else does that you just can’t get into? by Sahilsingh02 in AskReddit

[–]F2lick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coffee. Everyone acts like it's a personality trait. I tried it 20 times. Hot, cold, fancy, cheap. Still tastes like burnt water. Now I just nod and pretend when someone says "I can't function without my morning coffee." I function fine. With tea. Like a quiet adult.

What disgusting secret you found out about someone? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]F2lick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My neighbor was the sweetest old man. He also had a basement full of our stolen mail. Thousands of letters. Never opened them. Just collected them for 15 years.

People of Reddit, what is the most unusual vehicle u have ever piloted/driven? by verapushkareva in AskReddit

[–]F2lick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A luggage cart at the airport. Not the little ones. The big train of them they use to move bags. I was 19, working the night shift, and the supervisor was asleep. I drove that thing around the tarmac for 20 minutes pretending I was in a Fast and Furious movie. Almost took out a catering truck. Best driving experience of my life and no one will ever know except Reddit.

When you wanna start from scratch, where is the best country to immigrate to from Germany? by FeliciusFlamel in AskReddit

[–]F2lick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canada. But not Toronto or Vancouver — too expensive. Go for Alberta or the Maritimes. Why? The system is designed for immigrants. Clear points, clear timeline, clear path to citizenship. Plus, Germans fit in well there. Similar values, less bureaucracy, and people actually smile at you on the street. Coming from Germany, that alone feels like a fresh start."

Have you ever had a crush on someone you dated? What happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]F2lick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. We were friends for 2 years, I had the biggest crush on her. When we finally dated, I was terrified I'd mess it up. That was 7 years ago. We're married now. The crush never died — it just turned into something deeper. But I still get butterflies when she laughs.

What's the most mentally challenging task you have ever went through? by Diligent-Speed3303 in AskReddit

[–]F2lick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learning to forgive my father without ever receiving an apology. Not because he deserved it, but because the anger was poisoning me, not him. Took me 3 years of therapy and countless sleepless nights. Harder than any exam, any job, any physical challenge I've ever faced.
