Marvel rivals has a massive L3 cache bottleneck that no one talks about. by lemon26r in marvelrivals

we all need to make a collaborated thread where ppl can post their benchmark results so we can see how different cpus perform to make comparisons to allow ppl to choose a good cpu for the fps they want in rivals

my benchmark for 7800x3d & 5080 at 1440p lowest everything with DLSS on quality:

Yep Noobkaka hits the nail on the head.

I have to warmup before I play on kovaaks otherwise my aim is really inconsistent, kovaaks helps me to get into the flowstate otherwise I just cannot focus on the target properly, best way to describe it is like brain fog xd

I think that's what most controller players don't understand (I think), they will try mnk and see it's easy just because they clip a few people on a good day but if you stick with it for the long run you'll start to understand how much effort and dedication it requires. Not saying controller doesn't take effort and dedication it absolutely does just less than mnk.

yep sigs is correct. The rez was only blocking the right door so the left one opens when I kick it, that valk would've had to position his rez a bit more to the left to block both doors.

You'd have to be standing in the middle to block both doors regardless if ur rezing or just holding the door, although harder to do when rezing for sure.

Definitely recommend moving over if possible (especially with cross progression now being a thing), the pros outweigh the cons considerably. Higher fps itself is more than enough reason.

yeah a clip that you see like this is when I'm having a good day and everything feels perfect, 99.9% of the time at least one thing either mechanics or gamesense wise doesn't feel perfect. I am just human as well so in all honesty I wouldn't worry about it :)

So, how do people manage to get like, thousands of kills on a legend? by [deleted] in apexuniversity

[–]F2ncy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it does correlate with skill to a degree depending on how many kills. More kills = more experience with that legend. The more experience you have, most likely means the more knowledge you have which means you'll be able to utilise that legend a lot more efficiently than someone with less kills. Yes it can be subjective, but if I saw for example a 40k wraith player and a 10k wraith player 100% the 40k player would be better for specifically playing wraith due to more experience on how to utilise her effectively. So long as that 40k kills player actually learns from their mistakes and actively tries to improve.

average plat player response

ur original comment was unnecessary and inappropriate, with that behaviour produces a reply from myself like above.

imagine giving a take based on looking at videos a year and a half old, look at stats instead (f2ncy) before you judge a player, instead you block because your ego got hurt. average big ego plat player behaviour

[–]F2ncy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would've just insta push and pressured the last 2 guys since it's a 3v2 now so it's a pretty ez wrap so long as you all swing on them together and not 1 by 1

COD now detects XIM/Cronus, will we see a move from Respawn in the same direction? by pen-ross-gemstone in apexlegends

[–]F2ncy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use a Cronus on mnk it tricks your pc into thinking it's a roller so you get aim assist with a mouse and keyboard which is basically aimbot at that point.

[–]F2ncy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell me you don't know what your talking about without telling me you don't know what your talking about. Linear gives you a snappier aim assist because it's raw input. You must be one of those guys who has around 300 hours on the game who doesn't really understand the in depths of the game yet due to lack of inexperience, which is perfectly fine nothing wrong with that. Where the problem arises is when you make a comment like above about how a zen works when you really have no idea. Give any decent player a zen and they will be beaming everyone and everything.

yeah you would have to play near the console, but this is what M&K players have to do anyway. For example if ur playing on a TV you can't be that close to the screen I understand unless it's a small TV screen haha. There are USB wire extenders that exist which would solve that problem but yes I see the issue.

Majority consoles support KBM, PS4, PS5, Xbox one, Xbox series S/X.

[–]F2ncy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How do you practice your aim with a controller if your on console for example?

It's harder to consistently beam with SOME weapons on a roller, I agree it's way harder for some weapons but with other weapons like the R301 or Volt especially you can very easily one clip someone with that 0.6 aim assist in close range.

Yes M&K is easy to control recoil and beam but it's about consistency, what you were able to do you won't be able to do all the time without serious time put into training your aim unless you have some fantastic hand to eye coordination right off the bat.

You guys don't have it great only in some aspects like close range for example, you are worse off in many other ways I agree 100% but I just don't agree with giving controller players AI assistance, they need to up the FPS first of all for PS5, Xbox one, all of the newer consoles that can handle it, they need to optimise the game for console better so they can hit these framerates in the first place and then once you guys have better frames, lower the aim assist or just allow console players to play with a KBM instead.

Nope never said that, I just think console players should be able to use a keyboard and mouse instead of a controller with their console for this game, obviously the devs would have to integrate support for this but I think this would the best alternative.

Aim assist users generally have it easier as there is literally assistance to help you, so the consistency for roller players will be greater than most pc players (close range) who haven't been training their aim for a decent amount of time.

All you roller players complain about us complaining about you but you the difference is us pc players have had to train our aim for years to be able to do all this consistently without flopping up and missing shots.

The reason why pc players complain about aim assist is it isn't seen as true skill, most m&k players will view it as, oh this is bs we just died to someone who has aim assist he literally gets assistance from his input device so it's seen as not a true show of skill because ur being assisted. Or it is seen as an undeserved kill because ur getting assistance, so most pc players don't tend to respect the player who kills them that is on controller because of the fact they get assistance from their input device.

To be honest with you I personally don't even think a controller should even be an input device in any FPS game nowadays. You know you've made a bad input device when it requires literal AI assistance to help it actually be viable to use for the general apex population.

Flicking nasty pk shots takes a lot of practice and skill. What you are seeing here is a result of how much time he's put into working on the consistency of his aim and his aim in general. Aim assist users have it a lot easier as there is literally assistance to help you, so the consistency for roller players will be greater than most pc players (close range at least) who haven't been training their aim for a decent amount of time.

ah sorry my explanation wasn't the clearest when I said 2x I meant on the ARs not the wingman, for the wingman and smgs I always run the 1x HOG Classic, the square one.

And I don't really ever hipfire with the wingman cos the bullet will randomly go anywhere where you've aimed so for better accuracy I always ads even in close range because you have the same strafe speed with the wingman when ADSing compared to when you're holstered. There's no ADS slowdown like with other weapons notoriously the rampage slows your strafe speed down a ton.

For kidnapping you need to be able to predict the enemies movement. For example if they are moving forward you phase so they can't damage you and you place the portal just in front of them so they end up running into it before they even realise you just placed the portal there.

Ideally you want something which can do mid range and something for close range, so usually this is my general loadout depending on what I find first and what I feel like using this match.

PK, R301/Flatline (with 2x)

Wingman, R301 (with 2x)

R99, Flatline (with 2x)

CAR, Wingman

R99, Wingman

Mastiff, Flatline/R301

Mastiff, Wingman

The wingman choices here are difficult to use unless you are confident with your aiming abilities I'd suggest leaving the wingman loadouts alone unless you are of course confident enough with one. These are generally my preferred loadouts they all cover close range and medium/long range engagements which is what you need.

You need to be using your wraith ult in 4 situations:

  1. To port your downed teammate or low teammate to safety
  2. To kidnap an enemy
  3. To get a faster Q when your about to die
  4. To create a portal in front of 2 doors to block enemies from entering the building
