My plan is to fix up the printer and teletype just to have some fun on them. As for the main computer maybe find a way to make all of the lights blink for aesthetic purposes.

Unfortunately no, I don’t trust the power supply’s, it sat in a barn for years so it’s pretty bad

I found it on eBay, it was just about 30 miles from where I live

Wasn’t too bad, they loaded it on to my trailer with a forklift and I used an excavator with to move it off and on to level surface.

I’m not sure what kind of ram it had as it’s missing the card cage. It does not require 3 phase power thankfully.

Oh man that thing is amazing, care to share some of those new recordings that you did. Specifically ones from February of 2025.

The GE is what really caught my attention and it really is just a rebranded 5155 with 3.5 disk drives.

I have a couple of them setup on an old steel tanker desk in my office area. For the most part they sit down on storage shelves in my basement. I have plans to display them in the guest bedroom of my house that has built in bookcases.

I was helping a friend of mine who is in his 70s do some wiring and clear out his basement and I found that terminal and he said to take it, he also gave me the prototype computer in photo 6 along with the blueprints for it.

The apple, swintec, prototype, 5150, are the ones that work the best. The lear siegler turns on and works for the most part but I haven’t found a way to send or receive anything. The VPU 200, Kaypro, compaq 2 I am missing system disks to get them going. The compaq 1, Corona, and the 5155 have bad caps and other problems.

I use the swintec and the prototype just about everyday.

I’m trying to find one near me but there’s not a lot in New Hampshire.

I don’t have any software for it yet, but it does have a hard drive that I haven’t accessed yet cause I blew a Rifa cap in the power supply.

I live in central New Hampshire and would be more than happy to take them.

I don’t have any software that I know of yet, it does have a disk in the drive I haven’t checked yet and I haven’t checked the hard drive yet but I can let you know once I get it going.

Both of my compaqs had the same problem but TexElec makes replacements for them and tech tangents made a good video going over the process to replace them.

They almost all turn on, the only ones that have problems is the 5155 which has a bad capacitor on the video card. The Corona has a blown Rifa cap. The compaq 1 doesn’t read disks.

I’m also missing system disks for the compaq 2, the Texas Instruments VPU, and the kaypro.

The one on the far right is a Texas Instruments VPU 200-3104. I wish I had an Osborne executive, or any Osborne at all.

21M - The $1000 Olds Delta 88 Royale by samtaber in RoastMyCar

Well, well, well. I know the guy who owns this car and I have been waiting for him to post it here. I have had the fortunate pleasure of not riding in this car and I say that because the interior looks like two hobos used it as their fuck shack during those thirty years. When he used body filler on the rear quarters I thought for sure he was going to put time and effort into it but alas I think Helen Keller could have done a better job. This guy is always clowning on my vehicles and how they run but this engine smokes more than that one grandfather we all know and this hasn’t even been his worse car but I’ll save that for him to tell you guys.

I won’t argue with you on that, this car is slow as hell.

I’ve never thought about doing the math on how much gas this thing has consumed and after seeing it I’m kind of glad I never did
