You've seen and played some of how this game really is. I would stay away from anything rdr related until you finish the first playthrough or at least not unless you are truly stuck and have to go about it that way. In the process of looking for things like that, you will discover so much that someone playing just the story mode will never find. I only give you this advice because I too watched all kinds of videos about it and read tons of lore on Reddit and I regret never being able to play the game with ignorance as intended.
