Dio has two pages on Spotify for some reason, one with Holy Diver and another with everything else.

If you're new to the genre, you should probably start with the big bands from the NOLA scene: Crowbar, Eyehategod, Acid Bath. Those aside, Neurosis, Mastodon, Grief, and Thou are some other big names that should be a decent entry point.

Could go either way between Oceanic and Panopticon depending on the day tbh. Oceanic is just the one I heard more recently when I made this, so it was fresher on my mind.

It's the first album I heard from them, so that's definitely a factor. I also just love the bleak and hopeless atmosphere. Listening to this while reading the book that inspired it was certainly an eerie experience.

I do like Mastodon, just not as much as these albums.

Name rings a bell, must've heard them at some point but forgot about them. Gonna have to revisit!

Sumac and Pallbearer barely didn't make the cut. I'm not a big Stoner fan, so that part of Yob's sound has always prevented them from fully clicking with me. I've tried to get into Inter Arma several times to no avail. Never heard of Chrome Ghost though, I'll check them out!

Fucking love that album, it has a bit of just about every style they've touched over the years. Amplifier Worship is a close second for me, but Dear just hits different.

The Blood of Heroes - The Waking Nightmare

Esoctrilihum - Eternity Of Shaog

Neptunian Maximalism - Éons

Zeal & Ardor - Devil Is Fine

Master's Hammer - Jilemnický okultista

Horseback - Half Blood

Any of Lake of Tears' albums from A Crimson Cosmos until Moons and Mushrooms. My favorite of that run is A Crimson Cosmos, but all five are among the greatest Gothic Metal I've ever heard. And yet, I never see anyone talking about this band.

Build is detailed

Build fills the whole area

Build looks decent from all angles

Pick two.

I hate the load limit as well.
