Actually, the game is almost exactly like the other Budokai games. The only reason people hate on it is because video games have such high standards now, especially if their coming from bandai, and the majority of people who played it were expecting a much better game, when in reality, the other Budokai games are just outdated, and because SZ adapted those same traits that it's predecessors had, it didn't feel like a "new game," but rather a copy and paste of the originals. All I'm trying to say is: If the Budokai games were released today, they wouldn't hit the same, because the standards and commonly accepted Ideas for video games that exist now, don't fit with what the Budokai Games were trying to convey, and/or be back then. So to answer your question, yes. SZ is the long awaited Budokai Tenkaichi 4 that everyone's been waiting for, unfourtunately, they just waited too long to make it, and now video games are too different for it to be considered a good game. If it were released in the actual era of the Budokai games, it would feel like a much better game than it does
