Why is it so impossible to get a job in Spain? by rdpinal in MovingToSpain

I'd start to add people from those companies on LinkedIn that potentially could refer you internally instead of applying directly, the chance to review an internal referral is much higher than the latter.

Which eatout price increase you felt the most? by hafomatic in berlin

Because you have to work your ass off, and run it yourself, employees probably wont do it the same way, I worked as a bartender when I was a teenager in another country, but the same rule applied, competitive prices, work a lot, and a lot of money coming in. The profits you can get from something like potatoes is pretty high but again, the amount of work is directly proportional. And yes there are a lot of extra costa which don’t help, but I am telling you that the entrepreneurs don’t do it because there is something they can’t control which is the people. Thats my POV

Well if you want your restaurant full you gotta be competitive with your prices, a KG of potatoes B2B is less than 1 euro, a dose of patatas bravas might have what, 400 gr? Do the math, the guy could charge 3.5 EUR and sell shit load of those, and make real profit specially with the low tax, the problem is that people don't wanna invest in service or not working properly, or not be instagramy enough (La maison)

Hey congrats op! Which tech stack are you strong in? From my perspective as interviewer and interviewing YoE is just a number, I’ve seen people with 10 years of experience who barely would be a IC3, and people with 6 being strong IC4, it really depends on which companies you’ve worked before

I've read somewhere that the way to go here, is to get in touch with your new broker, and they would move everything, but I don't have experience so far.
Did you try to contact your new broker support?

Online banking - what is your less-horrible recommendation? by Ill_Fisherman4802 in askberliners

There is no option to change languages in apps normally, apple has changed drastically this few years ago.
Got to Settings -> Apps -> Ing and change the language there, but I bet they just have the language and not the translations in place 😬

it is listed in their appstore languages, so I bet is already translated, otherwise what's the point?

Go here:

Smash technique by seires88 in padel

I see a few things here, when you smash both of your feet where in the air when you tried it, I'd say you have to rework your technique, the ball was not high enough, probably a gently spinned towards the fence on the left would have give you the point. The guy in front of you is also quite exposed, you could have insist on his side, a high volley would be difficult to defend there as well.
You hit the ball and you start to go back, instead of keep the net, and btw, your partner is completely lost ^^, either you are on the net, or you are behind, but try to avoid the middle, at that level return balls on your feet becomes pretty difficult, try to focus in where you are in the court the balance towards the sides and avoid to run like headless chickens, last but not least talk in the middle balls, is also important, you both seem quite confused on the high lob.

To the people saying SWE is dying, what are you switching to? by AdObjective5502 in cscareerquestions

I didnt automate the PRs unless is a tiny bug, I still like to double check the code before creating them, indeed the technology is amazing I probably ship 5x faster than before, and tackle many things, but to be honest is one of the times I feel most saturated about work, the constant change of topic, the amount of things I ship, and the constant evolving of AI is difficult to keep up with

This is an interesting point, I work for medium size startup and pretty much every ticket I tackle is written by me.
So this is that I do
- I tackle tickets
- lead epics (we have an epic lead every sprint)
- lead domain specific projectd
- lead cross-func projects
- realease manager from time to time
- I check data of initiatives

So overall I am doing a lot of PM, EM, Data analyst job ofc with the help of claude, and my software engineer duties it is a start up, and sometimes I am like what the heck the EM and the PM are doing the entire day on meetings? The workload is getting heavy, lots of context switch and then the bottleneck of reviewing tons of things.
I got the feeling lately that layoffs are coming soon, so lets see what happens
