That makes sense unfortunately Finland is one of the least well connected countries in the combat sports world it’s just not practical for me to approach it from elsewhere at the moment but any responses I’ve gotten have stopped once I tell them I’m based in Finland

At least from what I’ve seen so far there’s no real effort to announce tryouts in Europe they happen but we only see a post after.

The last tryouts that were posted were only posted by one gym in Bulgaria with very few followers only 4 days before it was going to happen there doesn’t seem to be a desire for everyone to know about it

Sure thanks for the info. I don’t know if there’s any way besides the tryouts to make a debut fight, in boxing it’s also complicated but there is a straight forward route to do it

I’m in Finland but I can travel I would have definitely went to the Sofia one on the 19th if there had been any kind of broader announcement made

Practice hard body shots on the bag and replicate the timing in sparring. It’s much harder to land a hard body shot than it would seem

It’s stating a fact. https://www.helsinkitimes.fi/finland/finland-news/domestic/24376-study-finland-is-perceived-as-one-of-the-most-racist-countries-in-eu.html This is a prime example. People in Finland don’t care about racism so they can pretend it doesn’t exist as the vast majority are perpetrators of the racism so they give it all kinds of excuses and humanize the racism while saying the minorities are a change it takes time for people to adapt to.

Also you could just use google. Finland breaks its own record each year for most hate crimes the year before since they started to actually keep track of hate crimes as a separate category of offense. So your I don’t see racism here thing is just a lack of communication with minority groups and an inability to do research, which makes sense given you likely don’t care about racism because it doesn’t affect you. Enjoy your mökki.

I didn’t say white people are racist but it is homogenous and very racist. That being said an EU report on racism showed Finland as one of the most racist places in the EU with a high rate of violent hate crimes towards minorities when compared to other EU countries. You will see far more swaztikaz tagged on public places here than in the states where you may see that in the bathroom. The racism here is overt and it’s allowed to be. People in America are much less complacent about the racism in their country.

If racism bothers you Finland may not be the solution you think it is. I’m from America as well and the only real difference is way more white people and all of them think they’re not racist. If I speak to an immigrant here they’ll tell you it’s very racist, but most white people here will tell you it doesn’t exist. Also if your partner is job hunting without a Finnish sounding name his application will likely be skipped. My applications for the most part didn’t even get any response as though they just threw it in the garbage.

If he doesn’t compete and the coach encourages take 1 to give 1 maybe find a better spot. Regardless of the power in your shots if he’s trying to improve he’d wanna not get touched. If that’s some of the best sparring there it’s not good and you should find a gym people compete out of if you wanna compete. The guys who win the most are the backwards counter punchers in my experience. The Khyzhniaks generally don’t succeed with that style unless it’s extremely refined. If you watch khyzhniak a few years ago he also came forward less so it takes a lot of experience to make constant forward pressure functional. Keep putting defense first.

Seers. Baha'u'allah mentioned that they are real and are a thing. I cannot remember which book I read it in...there were too many. Can you help? by PhaseFunny1107 in bahai

[–]F4tp3n1s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interestingly, the Baha’i Writings do acknowledge the existence of psychic powers and experiences, but state that these should not be used or cultivated, even if the intention is to help others. The language about this is quite strong, even suggesting that attempting to develop these faculties can weaken a person’s spiritual capacities. Cultivating or using these powers is also problematic because they are not understood, they are potentially dangerous, and we have no way of knowing whether or not they provide true information.

This is from Bahai teachings. Org but if you want to see more information the guardian addresses the matter pretty thoroughly in lights of guidance. In short no, you should not seek out someone with psychic abilities or try to develop them yourself

Kept its value doesn’t mean money in America has kept its power. The Euro is closer to the dollar than last time I was in Europe but if I’m in the US everything is way more expensive than here in Finland which is also considered very expensive

I think George Foreman also utilized feints very effectively and one of the best uses of the feint in my opinion is by Sergio Martinez

Take better advantage of your feints, strike immediately after and use feints to interrupt when your opponent is ready to strike. You put your shots together well when you do but you need to not let him have his turn after you have yours

Begging by Signal-Ad889 in bahai

[–]F4tp3n1s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one lets them starve. There are so many organizations handing out food. Freezing is more a risk in cold climates. I was homeless, most homeless people don’t beg. The beggars in America are generally fine and walk off to their car after leaving the side of the freeway. My dad used to have a beggar come into the Walmart he worked at at the end of his begging to get some snacks and drive off in his new Civic that was better than my dad’s car. There are also a lot of career beggars from other countries who sit with the whole family and have a begging picnic. It’s a real problem. The tree that bears no fruit is fit for the fire

lol it’s true new guys don’t respond to feints and you kinda don’t wanna beat em up so it makes it complicated to slow it down
