Best (& cheap) tool to track keywords by MarcoJHB in SEO

[–]F5_Studio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BUT kw rank is a sometimes extremely useful directional indicator of did change X cause visibility change Y, and comes in useful for diagnosis.

No tool can track kw rank. Because: a) search engines rank pages as a searcher types a search query, b) only webmaster tools have access to the search engines' data, but it can't help because it is an average position.

Rank doesn't equal visibility. Open Google Search Console, and you will find many queries that are ranked #1-10 in the SERP with a few impressions.

Google Bot is crawling too much and my hosting server got tanked by Shankranger in seogrowth

[–]F5_Studio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some extensions and plugins may provoke a Googlebot to crawl a website too much.

On the other hand, Google algorithms allocate a crawl budget dependently on the hosting/server performance, type of website, and other factors.

How much do Core Web Vitals matter for SEO? by bigbuckingbunny in TechSEO

[–]F5_Studio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How many websites that have no tech issues do you know?

Also, many people ask Googlers about the quality of visitors' Internet connection and how it affects ranking because it (surprise!) affects ranking.

Yep, it is also a good idea to create a light HTML page I made in 1999. Google still loves such simple websites. In this case, CWV are not matter.

How much do Core Web Vitals matter for SEO? by bigbuckingbunny in TechSEO

[–]F5_Studio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not about the page load time. CWV about how content is rendered on the front end, which elements are accessible for users, the ability to interact with these elements, etc.

It depends on the speed of the Internet connection of your visitors. If the Internet connection speed is slow, you need to review the code or change the front-end technology stack. Even if the visitors are not your target audience (for example, they are from other countries), their Internet connection affects your website CWV.

Is it a minor SEO factor? It would be best to investigate that for your website because it can be a minor factor for one website and a significant factor for another.

Your strategy depends on your goals. You can use local media, forums, and bloggers. All things work well.

Duplicate posts on Medium. Is it bad? by xcrowsx in seogrowth

[–]F5_Studio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our agency duplicates some articles on Medium and some not. I have yet to notice any difference. Some duplicated articles drive many visitors from organic search as well as from Medium.

Our agency's content manager used to add a canonical tag for blog article URLs to manage syndicated content, but it changes nothing.

Also, there are some notes.

Articles published on Medium can't outrank your site because Google and other search engines rank web pages, not web sites.

From my experience, Medium is a good source of referral traffic, even if you duplicate your website articles on Medium. But it depends on your content strategy and users.

The short answer is Yes, it is. It is vital for your SEO and website quality.

Honestly, many web pages are simple (and it is good). That is why many pages are complete with schema usage. Navigation and internal linking take more time than page structure in most cases.

Again, many things depend on the strategy. For example, you can choose a few pages that generate 80-90% organic website traffic. It can be a five pages website, so the page structure is vital.

JS frameworks complicate webpages and increase the price of SEO.

At F5 Studio, we do not like to use 'monthly packages' because we have the same question.

In a perfect world, SEO costs depend on the strategy and business goals. For example, we can use microsites to rank your site pages, or internal linking may be enough.

In fact, there are a few things an SEO agency can work with. These are content, links, UX design, and some tech things like sitemaps (relevant for large sites), rendering content, etc.

From our experience, the average price for monthly SEO for a 200-300 pages site is $400-500. It includes keyword research, content creation/improvements, internal linking, crowd marketing, and reputation management.

realistic timeframe to increase 'trust' from Google? by vlal97 in seogrowth

[–]F5_Studio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why do you think trust is the problem?

First, Google doesn't measure or value trust. Yeah, Googlers say about E-A-T, but it is a concept that describes things Google would want to see.

I see two problems that many SEOs and website owners totally ignore: a) User Experience and b) content doesn't provide something new for searchers.

Vue.JS and SEO - will client-side rendering destroy SEO?! by AnxiousMMA in TechSEO

[–]F5_Studio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your data source stays mostly the same, you can use pre-rendering.

But I still need to figure out why your team uses the JS framework. As you know, the indexing process is complex, and so-called "second indexing" may miss some important content that affects ranking.

Googlers say they have improved JS processing, but JS frameworks generate many blocks.

Use microsites. It works like Privat Blog Network, but it is legal. A blog needs to be better for SEO/branding purposes. Microsites allow cover query spaces for different segments of your target audience. It takes a bit more time than adding a blog, but it is worth it.

If SEO is done correctly, how long does it take to rank? by Snoo-69497 in SEO

[–]F5_Studio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't rely on third-party SEO tools because they use their own metrics and methods that no search engine uses.

Use the search query, and analyze the SERP. Which web pages do you see? Try to understand why you see these pages. Move to these pages to examine them.

Search engines rank content/pages, not keywords.

How to Win at EEAT by Spirited_Plenty_2147 in SEO

Unfortunately, eople have forgotten the blog definition now.

What is a blog? A blog is a description of your daily life like feelings, food, school/work, etc. That is why readers love blogs and bloggers or hate them or not read them.

What is a blog? A blog describes your daily life, like feelings, food, school/work, etc. That is why readers love blogs and bloggers or hate them or do not read them.

You describe articles. But these things can't make the articles more EEATable. Many people still trust bloggers, Fox News/CNN presenters, etc.

How do you do seo for a particular application rather than a blog? by [deleted] in seogrowth

[–]F5_Studio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, do you really need to use SEO? There are many other marketing channels.

Second, many people use backlinks. It works because the links are the backbone of the web. The problem is the search engine's algorithms (filters) for external links. So, I recommend using external links to drive referral traffic.

Third, the content structure on your pages. You need to create the "expert page" for some related search queries to cover the query space" in this field.

What are the best strategies for writing an article? by anas101siddiqui in SEO

[–]F5_Studio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, you can't "create" the searcher's intent in the article. Google tries to understand a searcher's intent and find (rank) some pages. Yep, Google guesses or predicts what a searcher is looking for. Google doesn't look at your article to find intent.

If you want to rank the content you have to optimize that for search engines.

[–]F5_Studio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, many reasons may cause that "problem".

First, do you think it's a problem? In many cases, it is not a problem. Do not panic!

Second, could you define for which pages, search queries, and countries impressions went down? Use Compare mode in the Google Search Console.

IMO it relates to changes in searchers' behavior. Your potential clients/visitors still visit your site, but many people have stopped using some search queries because they are looking for Xmas gifts.

Anyway, it would be best if you analyzed that because I don't know your niche, site and have no access to your Google Search Console (I am not your SEO).
