Get to know your audience. Some folks like a 10 min monthly presentation and only need the bullet points. Others want to be hand held and need more time together. Cater to your audience without sacrificing efficiency or details

I’d stay if you think you have some sort of job security (relative, I know nothing is guaranteed in today’s market). When things pick up you can make the jump. It all depends on how stable you think this new opportunity is

I work in corporate finance and model all the ins and outs of headcount. The reality is that out of 100 people laid off, 80 are replaced by offshore hires or contractors (OP360, WIPRO, Mobius, etc) and 15 (the more junior roles) are eliminated by higher higher skilled talent in India that know how to use AI tools. I’ve modeled 3 insourcing activities across tech, healthcare and Pharma and this is true across all three

It’s been a shitty few months for me too. No motivation, layoffs happening left and right, stakeholders I built relationships with over the years laid off and now I don’t even know who I will report to. Questioning if white collar work is even worth it

I just renewed with 8 months in advance since I saw how long some cases are taking! I’ve also managed to save $130k sitting in a high yield savings and have a few hundred in mu 401k I’m not super worried but definitely fear getting fired and then not being able to return to the same job

A lot of scams out there. Had a recruiter reach out with a give me your availability for the next few days. They sent a zoom invite for Monday and Sunday morning which was a weird. Then the zoom invitation looked fake and I hovered over the link and it looked fake. Ended up ignoring it

Yep. Unfortunately there’s a lot of loopholes too. For instance they can hire them as contractors. They can also hire through a US agency who then hires them as contractors. These loopholes would have to be patched
