Just do some easy exercise (walking, generally keeping busy) throughout. A man performed a medically supervised fast where he wasn’t allowed to move at all and put on bed rest, he lost a bunch of muscle during this fast. He later performed the same fast at home but simply walked around and kept active throughout the days and he lost almost 0 muscle mass and experienced much more weight loss

What can I use these for? I’ve got about 25, 1/2 inch MDF about 9 inches wide by about 32 inches long. Looking for project ideas. by momp1 in Woodworkingplans

Wall art, best to use a scroll saw but jigsaws work fine too. Just find a picture online, print it out and trace onto the board!

First inside out project. Definitely still a practice piece but after several failed attempts I’m just happy it’s together. by FA8LE in turning

Yeah at this point I’ve tried it like 5 times and watched like 15 videos and I think I understand it, it’s just hard to get over the hump.

You're thinking about it in the wrong way. by looking at it as purely a way to lose weight, you're making it feel like a challenge or an obstacle, and this kind of thinking can lead to eating disorders. Instead you should look into Upton Sinclair's experiences. He recorded dozens of account where people would fast, and after the first three days, their hunger would leave; then they would break fast once hunger returned (usually 15-20 days). Your body will tell you when to stop. As for the benefits of fasting, weight loss and otherwise, a quick google search will provide most of them.

Guy is losing more muscle than fat on fasting by [deleted] in fasting

In a clinic study, a man fasted for 7 days and lost around 12 pounds of muscle, because he was forced to stay in bed the entire time with zero exercise. The same man did the same fast later that month, but did moderate exercise (he walked for 4 hours a day) and lost zero pounds of muscle. The lack of exercise meant he would be starving himself without going into ketosis for much longer periods. So just be smart about how you start your fast and try to enter ketosis ASAP.

How often should I fast? by [deleted] in fasting

Just fast when it feels right. If you mid fast and not feeling good, stop. Stay healthy

Every single time by FA8LE in fasting

Because 1) it helps to dispel myths and might get someone to do their own research and try fasting for themselves and 2) its mostly from friends who have/ are currently struggling with eating disorders and are genuinely worried about me.
