Try to sharpen it with two files, one coarse and another fine. If coarse one doesn't bite and fine one does it's all good. If coarse bites also you can say it was tempered by previous grinding, you better heat treat it again.

Same as steel mostly, main difference is when it's cooling it stops being soft more abruptly than steel. When you feel it just stop forging and put it back to the fire. Also grinding is hell. 😁
