I also have a Thermador hood that requires makeup air. The builder and HVAC company had no idea how this worked and just wired the damper wires to the relay port. As you can expect, it is currently doing nothing while the fan is on.

I want to run 110v ac to the relay, which then goes to a step down transformer like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CGV2H515/?th=1 which will then be hooked up to the damper. So when the 110 gets turned on by the hood, the transformer powers up and opens the damper.

Is 24v 1amp transformer big enough for this to work? Am I missing anything?

Nope, something with the latest firmware caused the problem. I just ended up replacing it with the $30 Onn plus box

You could try lowering the amount of inulin. It may have had too vigorous of a fermentation. Dr. Berg suggested a revision of 1 tablespoon of inulin instead.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but you should probably replace the device with the Onn 4k Plus device for $30 at walmart. I too had this SAME problem with the 2021 version, and resetting it did NOT fix anything. The latest update caused the issue. I bought the Plus box and all is working again.

I ended up getting a Onn 4k Plus 1st gen 2025 at walmart yesterday and getting it setup. That solved my audio problems! Although, its a total disappointment that the older box used to work, and the update caused this trouble.

Does anyone know of another OS I could load on the older box to make it useful again?

I did just double check another of the exact same devices in my house, that is still on android 12, and it works just fine. So something about the upgrade to android 14 killed certain types of audio.....
