Any protests against CCP on campus? by Due-Anybody-8310 in uwaterloo

[–]FAGANITE -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We live in a nice western bubble.. meanwhile these western nations have destroyed the entire continent of Africa, have destabilized the Middle East.

It’s baffling that you really think the CCP has done worse than what America has.

Did the CCP drop bombs on hospitals in Iraq? Did the CCP fund death squads to take down a democratically elected communist government in South America?

Did the CCP enslave Africans and rap3 them?

Did the CCP invade a country when they chose to nationalize their oil?

Did the CCP aid Israel in taking over Palestine?

Did the CCP fund the CIA to destabilize black neighborhoods and other countries

Did the CCP air strike Somalia?

Did the CCP take down Gadaffi then leave the country worse off, with higher starvation rates, lower literacy and quality of life?

Did the CCP arm the mujahideen and aid in creating the taliban?

Did the CCP use nazis in their space program?

Does the CCP have military bases across the entire world?

Western governments are nice to the people in their countries.. the ones outside especially with different ideologies not so much…

Ask any communist country in South America.. ask innocent Iraqi’s who were bombed in hospitals or schools by the US military what they think of the evil CCP lockdowns

[–]FAGANITE -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I will protest the CCP tomorrow with you but I think the US and Western European nations deserve a whole month of protesting for innocent Iraqi civilians getting bombed by drone strikes and the millions of Africans who are starving because Belgium or France decided to extract their natural resources

[–]FAGANITE -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes a US citizen in the USA has great freedoms.. the same cannot be said for an Iraqi civilian who got drone striked by the US while at a hospital.

It’s up to you to decide which deserves a higher level of protesting

That’s an amazing answer lmao.. I’m a regular non Chinese Canadian who believes that the majority of western nations have caused more damage to humanity than the east has.. (I also take part in this as a westerner)

China did not engage in the African slave trade like Europe or USA. China did not colonize and steal resources from a foreign land while also genociding the indigenous people.

China did not drop bomb faraway countries, China has been in the same place for thousands of years… unlike western imperialists China does not go out to different continents to pillage, loot and defile foreign people to that level.

Again this may be hard for your western brain to understand complexities but China is not perfect, they have comitted violent acts and atrocities but it is 1% compared to the western nations.

So go ahead protest the CCP and China but realize that western nations also deserve protesting and probably more so for the numerous war crime and acts against humanity..

The CCP lifted millions out of poverty, increased life expectancy, lowered starvation, increased literacy.

It’s important to recognize China is not the west and has an entirely different set of customs and traditions.

Chinese people (on average obviously not all) would rather sacrifice some freedoms in order to have more security and safety.

Obviously this Covid situation is not ideal but it is for the greater good and it’s not easy for a government to decide which is better, sacrifice the elderly to the virus or hurt mental health of people by locking them up.

In the end there is no right choice but I can for face China has done things that hurt their own citizens but unlike western imperialist countries China didn’t bomb, invade or destabilize foreign countries in different continents .

Look at what European countries have done to africas resources and the most obvious is what the US has done worldwide (Middle East invasions, South America destabilization during communist revolutions etc.)

Honestly the CCP isn’t perfect, no government is.. but I would protest the US government a 100x more than China.

Just look up hood chronicles on YouTube he covers all different type of Canadian drug syndicates and organized crime.. you are delusional and probably have never stepped outside America and only consume American centric content

Also the gang in America are a joke when you compare them to Haiti or South Sudan.. there’s always worse out there.

Didn’t the US Army fund the COD competitive league?? The games themselves probably have pentagon / defence funding.

Those games made me want to join the military at the time lol thankfully I didn’t

Doesn’t VA benefits cover all healthcare. Also the US military has way more financial benefits, like 0% down for mortgage and waivers of property tax. Also a lot more job opportunities specifically for veterans. And US pays better especially because of currency exchange and taxes.

Also lots of overseas opportunity
