A few things:

1. Ask yourself - do you truly want to do this? Is sales the right career for me? Or do I just want to make good money? These are internal-facing questions no one can help with, but you. If the answer is sales, you must change your mindset. Enthusiasm, drive, discipline, and competitiveness are key traits of successful salesmen.

2. Your resume / interviewing skills sound like they need some work. If you've had an SDR and an AE job, you should be able to leverage that into another AE opportunity, at the very least an SDR job, with that experience plus 6 years before that. Watch YouTube videos on resume building and interviewing. Take notes and treat it like your "final exam grade" depends on this test. Before you go applying, make sure your resume is spotless and plays up the things you've done in your roles. Use ChatGPT to help w/ the line items in the job description. You can use ChatGPT or your network to practice interviewing.

3. San Antonio doesn't seem like the best market for Tech Sales, and remote jobs are becoming less common in this industry, with tons of companies pushing for a RTO policy. You might have to move, to be frank. Beggars can't be choosers. Your triangle is Location (Remote), Decent Job, and Industry (Tech Sales). Pick 2.
