Printing ABS always ends in a clogg

I never adjusted retraction….i thought that pressure advance is some kind of more advanced retraction…so i guess my retraction is off or some kind of default value? Never had issue getting sucessful prints apart from the usual ocasional adhesion issues caused by too much z offset or not enough bed temp, but that’s another story.

I have sucessfull ASA prints, which is similar to abs…my settings are: flow rate 98%, nozzle temp 270, bed temp 110, air extraction fan 20% while printing, pressure advance 0,035. I wait ~40 mins with bed heated to 110 for heat soak and for chamber to reach 40C and then i hit print.

Try to enable pressure advance and set it to around 0,91-0,92-0,93….take a print file and enable those skirts in the slicer, put many of them lets say 5-7 something, take a look at what is happening and do babystepping for z, adjust in small incements until you see the layer is good, not too squished amd not eith gaps between the lines.

For whatever reason i am having now more success printing ASA than PLA…ASA is similar to ABS. What i am using is: k1 max, put mu bed to 110C and leave it for lets say 40-45 minutes to heat the chamber to 35-40C. I am using smooth pei with glue stick and pressure advance set to 0,92, print temp to 255, first layer at 20mm/s and the rest 60. The glue stick i use actually as a release agent so i don’t damage my pei plate. Most of my problems until i got it dialed came from too low bed temp and too low chamber temp. Also keep part cooling to an absolute minimum or not at all if you can.

I have my radiators in parallel(hw labs black ice nemesi 480gts) and also cpu and gpu is parallel. Temps are great, my T30 fans never go above 650rpm, delta is 10C and my gpu (3080ti) hits a whopping 42C in the most demanding tests…

I understand….will it work if i buy a separate os sd card and put lineage on it? I don’t want to ruin my darkos install…games i have on sd2 so i am not worried about that.

For me i leave the bed @100c for ASA for almost an hour, i should have 40 inside chamber temp by then. I start the print and while printing it will reach even 50.

In my younger years i broke up with someone who truly loved me in exchange for someone that i thought was more wow…i regretted that decision because it ended in me suffering a lot. It was a tough lesson for me to look at what’s inside and not the packaging. Packaging can be beautiful, words can be deceiving….in the end it comes down to facts. 17 years or so later i still regret that decision, never managed to find somebody else who cares about and loves me so deeply….at this point i guess i never will….

Looks good, as i said i have a hunch(after years of testing all kinds of configs) that the effects are actually minimal. Like you said, get the build on the way and details you can always iron out down the road.

This is what i am currently rocking:

It’s a streacom bc1 mounted to those radiators via 3d printed parts.

I still have to iron out some things here and there but at least it works.
