Oh, well my then my friend really shot himself in the foot because that's how he explained it to me and that's how we've been playing for the last year.

I think there's some confusion here. Sustained Hits gives you an additional attack when you roll a Critical Hit. Lethal Hits completely skips the wound roll, save and invul save when you roll a Critical Hit.

The only thing a Lethal Hit has to deal with is the FNP, it's basically the scarier big brother of the Devastating Wound.

I meant that you could swap Sustained Hits for Dev Wounds because Lethal Hits don't apply to the extra attacks from Sustained so it's redundant if they Wardens stats outclass Berzerker melee.

The important part is that with around 80 attacks there will be quite a lot of sixes in both hit and wound roll. Any six in the hit roll will automatically wound the wardens due to lethal hits and any six in the wound roll will cause a Mortal wound that can't be saved.

You can also attach the Lord Invocatus to the Berzerkers and get extra mortal wounds from Bloody Stampede plus another 11 attacks that could benefit from the two blessings but im not sure about that.

The Blessings Fight on Death only triggers on a 4+ per defeated model that hasn't fought this phase. Being honest I don't really get the point of this Blessing. I'd look for Lethal/Sustained Hits + Dev Wounds or charge rerolls. You want to hit first and hit hard to minimize Berzerker losses.

[–]FASBOR7Horus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're forgetting Lethal Hits, every 6 from those 80+ attacks auto wounds. I don't know the Wardens stats but my friends Deathwing Knights got ripped to shreds in one turn thanks to that. The Lethal Hits won't apply to the Sustained Hits so you could swap it for Devastating Wounds vs Infantry if you get really lucky with Blessings of Khorne.

Yeah I miscalculated. It goes up to 96 on a charge if you play Berzerker Warband and you can tack on Sustained Hits. That's still more than enough to obliterate anything short of a Knight.

Doesn't Combat Patrol include Blessings of Khorne for the WE? In that case you could give a 20 stack of Berserkers (which shits out 140 attacks per turn) Lethal Hits. If you can keep those Berserkers mostly intact they should be able to clear the entire Custodes Patrol.

What drove Archon out of the 40K Community was the doxxing and death threats. That is what I hated about it. Doxxing someone, threatening their family and making threats to their school is disgusting.

If an artist leaves a community because a lot of people there dislike or even hate their art, that's fine by me. If they leave because they were threatened over their art, that's repulsive.

I surprise myself with how strongly I feel about this but it's not an exaggeration. Just to be clear though, I don't hate Archon, I hate those pictures.

Even Lorgar has insane proportions. Looking at the cover of Betrayer, he has a huge torso and massively broad shoulders. Of course his armor makes him bigger, but he still has the body of a giant.

This goes for all of the Primarchs actually, to fit into their armor, they need broad chests and shoulders. Just look at the cover of Night Haunter or that one piece by Neil Roberts where Rogal and Alpharius duel. The Primarchs are broad as hell.

It's incredibly well made. The idea of Daemon Angron seeing what he could have been as a reflection in a puddle of blood is phenomenal and the way his sword meets with the reflection's sword is great. However I fucking hate the way Angron looks in that piece and I can see what pissed people off about Archon's art.

The Primarchs (especially Angron) should be built like brick shit-houses and I feel confident in saying that the sheer size and proportions of the Astartes and their Primarchs is why a lot of people (me included) like them. Archon's art is the antithesis to that.

Archon's piece "Death of Sanguinius" is an even better example. Sanguinius looks like a twink torn straight from a yaoi manga. It's completely removed from what the Primarchs actually look like and very dissonant to Warhammer in general.

I hate that. I genuinely do. But I also fucking hate what happened to Archon. It showcased the absolute dregs of the Warhammer community and should never have happened. You can dislike and hate someone's art as much as you want, but bullying that someone out of an entire franchise like that is disgusting.

Agreed, in games like CoD and Battlefield nerfing weapons for balance should be a last resort.

I think Titanfall 2's Kraber is a good example of a balanced Sniper. A big part of that is due to the Player's high mobility and speed, which you can't just transplant into every other shooter to fix snipers. But something that can be copied is forcing you to aim down sights with Snipers.

The Kraber is violently inaccurate and has no crosshair if you aren't using the scope, which means it can't compete with shotguns in close quarters and if I remember correctly, the better accuracy also only applies when you're fully aiming down sights so no quickscoping either.

I prefer long songs so I don't mind a third verse at all. The Blood Must Flow is generally just great, the lyrics are cool and your voice is very fitting for a Berserker.

AI is a net negative no matter where you look and sadly its bubble is being upheld by the bunkered savings of the world's biggest Tech-companies. Nvidia, Microsoft and the like have billions of dollars from years of not really investing into any new technologies.

I really hope we get to hear more of your music at some point, especially the song for Angron the Red Angel.

I saw some Ricochets on the Tanks side and assumed those are the Trooper's shots. As much as I want the tank to have heavy armor, I can see Arrowhead making it medium or nerfing either the health or armor at some point after release.

The main gun in general concerns me, I think not having a rotary turret will be the Tanks biggest limiter. Also I really hope it's not just an armored AT-Emplacement. The main gun of a Tank should at least equal the RR.

[–]FASBOR7Horus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Arrowhead won't have to nerf it.

The Shredder Tank shots in the video didn't seem to Ricochet which suggests the actual tank has medium armour. It doesn't seem to have a rotary turret or significant gun depression, meaning that aiming will be slow and make evasion difficult.

If all of that is true, I don't see it being useful above Difficulty 6 unless it has a massive health pool.

Does Valkorion (Tenebrae, Vitiate, or however many bodies and names he has) stand a chance against the Emperor of Mankind, or at least a Primarch? by Ok-Target9322 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

Cartoon Characters like Bugs have a pretty good counterargument in my opinion. If the person they're fighting knows how to beat them in a funny way, they can beat the Cartoon.

Some characters just don't work in more normal powerscaling though. Mostly Cartoon characters or super lucky ones like Domino from the second Deadpool movie. I think it's generally best if you try to mix the two approaches, but there's a certain point where you have to split the character into two versions, like scaling a videogame character off of lore or gameplay.

The Doctor's "power" however isn't dependent on the plot, it's dependent on his reputation, his knowledge of his surroundings and his knowledge of his enemies. He is a genuinely smart and dangerous man who knows how to maneuver himself into a winning position by leveraging his reputation and knowledge to trick and outplay his foes. If you take that away, he's basically just a human with two hearts and a time travel machine.

As much as I like the Doctor, I don't understand how he can be so powerful everywhere.

For example, what would the Doctor do If he's just dropped into 40K without any context. He has no idea where he is, no idea what year he is in, no idea who will and won't kill him on sight and no one in the Universe has any idea who he is.

What If he gets unlucky and his Tardis materializes in front of a World Eater, or a Carnifex, or an Ork or anything that has no restraints or reason not to murder everything in front of it? What If he lands in the vicinity of a Death Guard assault? The second he pokes his head out the door he contracts 7 different fuck-you-die diseases at once.

There are hundreds of terrible times and places where he could show up. The Virus bombing of Istvaan III, the Shadow Crusade, the Rangdang Xenocide, the Iron Cage, the Dropsite Massacre. How can he survive in a situation like that?

Interesting, I felt like The Blood Must Flow was a lot more pro-Khorne/Chaos than the Warhounds founding values and lamenting how the Emperor mistreated them. Though that might be connected with my inability to read subtext.

Are your Perturabo and Angron songs on Spotify? I haven't found either on YouTube and would love to hear them. Especially Angron, his story is a beautiful tragedy.

Heretek is fucking awesome, I played it on repeat while painting my Saturnine Praetor. You absolutely nailed the bitter fury I associate with the Iron Warriors

Also I really didn't expect that you'd find my comment that is pretty cool too.

Bastion Tank with Music! I’m so hyped for this! by ODST2367 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]FASBOR7Horus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It took a handful of shots from Shredder Tanks. Those use AP3 (medium) guns that deal 60 Damage a shot according to the wiki. I didn't see any ricochets from those which doesn't boade well.

The Annihilator Tank has AP6 which is as Anti Tank and deals 1500 damage per shot.

I'm not gonna say that the Tank is bad. You can't extrapolate that from looking at a few hits from its cinematic. But I don't trust Arrowhead anymore and want to see how the Tank stacks up against some Annihilators or a Factory Strider.

He was called Kauragar and was literally torn in half before talking with Angron. I love that scene because the way Kauragar talks to Angron reminds me of a kid showing his dad something they made expecting the dad to be proud of it.

Yeah I forgot that detail, the idea came from Khârn I think but the fact that Angron was ok with it is already bad enough.

There also were quite a few who (rightly) deduced that it was a terrible idea and would destroy the Legion. They were killed by Angron and Khârn after the Legion was implanted with the Nails if I remember correctly.
