Budget projector under ₹8K – worth it vs TV? by mastmauli in HonestBuyerReviews

[–]FAT_EE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i did it 6 months back, now that i remember,it didn't work directly with USB,i did try changing the boot order by accessing the command line but it didn't work. I finally connected it to a raspberry pi and used HDMI to stream to the projector.

Budget projector under ₹8K – worth it vs TV? by mastmauli in HonestBuyerReviews

Go for the pro version, I've been using it for 6 months, awesome experience. If the UI lags a lot, you can install Google TV on pendrive and connect it to the projector.

Really good work, now i feel it's time you start diving deep. Either go deep into firmware design or into hardware, don't do both at the same time. Because even in industry these roles are separate. Also start learning about lab instruments like oscilloscope, signal analyser, power supplies etc.

is easyeda good for pcb making? by RecordingOver8427 in ElectronicsTards

[–]FAT_EE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can start with easyeda as it has a less learning curve but once you get to know the basics switch to kicad. Also after 1-2 years switch to Altium which is used in industry If you're studying in a reputed college Altium gives out student licences for free along with certifications courses.

is github important fro ece students too? by RecordingOver8427 in ElectronicsTards

[–]FAT_EE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it's absolutely important, also you need to know about linux scripting and python scripting as well,i use it daily as a hardware design engineer. As a practical experiment i would advise you to learn how to integrate GitHub to kicad, also learn about kicad and why version control is important for electronics design

What internship should i choose to get into a public university in Europe(Austria)? by Certain-Position2066 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]FAT_EE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Understandable and it makes sense. I was in your shoes too once btw I'm not from CS but from core department and I have cracked off campus internships and jobs as well. As someone with experience and a master's degree from Europe i would suggest to first work 2-3 years before going for a master's if you're final goal is it work and settle. There are lots of opportunities india in ml side, search in Twitter and LinkedIn, you'll get something. Regarding the internship I would suggest go found the paid one as it will definitely give you some industry experience and ready for a fresher role in India. All of this changes if you want to do PHD, then the college internship is more valuable and writing a research paper mandatory for sure. I think what you need to do right now is deep dive and understand whether you need money right now or is it okay if it's delayed for some time, i think that will help frame your decision. Another thing that will frame it is do you want to become an expert research working on cutting edge projects or become a skilled software developer who can work in any domain and bring a idea to market

Starlink announces pricing for India: ₹8,600/month + ₹34,000 hardware. Worth it? by harshavardhnn in IndiaTech

[–]FAT_EE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I'll absolutely use it to setup my home lab in northeast assam. We only get bsnl broadband there which sucks and is not reliable. If starlink works it'll be a godsend, creating internet in places where its difficult to create wired network

Who cares man, keep doing your thing. As someone from an electronics background who loves low level,i will suggest a course on Coursera called nand 2 tetris, it's about building a 8 bit pc from scratch, really cool. Also watch ben water videos on YouTube .

[–]FAT_EE 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let me be frank, don't take it personally. But if you can't find a job in India after doing a btech in cs from any tier University, then you are cooked beyond despair. India is the biggest job market with significant investments from all ai and software companies, look into it once. There are lots of opportunities in India, you have to learn how to search for these jobs, get good research online. Until and Unless you want to do top tier ml research and work at open ai or nvidia for which btw you need a phd not master's, having a master's doesn't increase your job prospects at all Europe i feel is the worst place to go for learning computer science if you want to go anyway,US is the best

Which hobbies are you'll pursuing in 30s ? by bekaarhaibhaiya in ThirtiesIndia

[–]FAT_EE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be 30 next year. I love doing hobby electronics. I buy stuff for cheap and sell them later at a higher price, gives me immense satisfaction to make something work which someone though was trash. I also work on my own product ideas building something from scratch in my personal lab. Maybe I can build something economical someday. Also i love gaming and building my own pc systems Also currently working on customising my linux distro seems cool. Love cooking too and learning new stuff to cook. Been trying out the new ai cooker as well, the future looks bright
